Poe Crashes my internet while it's active.
What I mean by crashing? I’ve tested this on 3 connection , wired home connection , wifi home connection & phone data hotspot (different provider) , all of them had similar result. While PoE is running my internet speed on any speed sites would be <1mbps . The second I would close the application the speed would jump back to 300mbps in case of wired and 100mbs in case of the wifi/mobile hotspot.
My assumption is that POE is somehow hogging the entire bandwidth ( even if the internet is literally unsuable for the the rest of the PC , the PoE doesn’t seem to have high ping/ lag / desync, but I’m not sure if the game can run smooth at 200-500kbps download) , the only unregular gameplay might be some slight lag in the stash but mapping is no problem Video here of exactly what i mean : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKC9SG5AoJs It started when I downloaded the game first for the release of the league, and while I was waiting in queue I noticed that my internet is very slow and figured might be some problem from my router / ISP. But soon I came to the conclusion that my internet is slow only while PoE is active. Since this was happening in the first 30 minutes after league launch , I figured ggg are having some problem and I will not be able to play for a while anyway so I decided to make a clean windows install ( it was due for about 1 month with all the backups already made and I was procrastinating on it). After I reinstalled the windows, the game and the internet connection of the entire pc worked fine for the rest of the night until I went to sleep and closed pc ( keep in mind I didn’t do any of the the windows updates at this point). Next morning I wake up and same problem is here again. Figured it might be caused by a windows update so I went to windows updates and turned off the auto updates and uninstalled one of the latest updates. Restarted the pc after the uninstall, launched up poe , tested the internet , everything was fine. 5 hours later I just close poe ( not the pc) and go to do my shopping , I come back to the same problem . I check if the updated that I unistalled somehow appeared back and it wasn’t. Figured I could try to do the same thing with another update , and the same , after restart everything was fine , the second I closed the game and restarted it my internet would be dead. I want to add that normally restarting the pc without messing around with windows updates does nothing. I also installed the steam version just in case that might work, but no luck there either. Could you possible have any idea what may be causing this? I really enjoy watching stream/ podcasts during my gameplay and with 1mbps connection I cannot even watch a 160p stream without it buffering. Not an expert but as soon as you closed the game "Lenovo Nerve Center" exited operations (bottom right corner), have you tried closing that program and testing it again?
"Network priority is one of the three basic features of Lenovo Nerve Center, which allows you to prioritize network bandwidth required for a game played online to ensure a stable latency and a lag-free gaming experience. To use this feature, after turning it on, its necessary to specify games which should take advantage of this feature. To select games, click on "+ Add Game" and specify the path to the Executable which is starting the game for you. If your system is running a Killer™ Network Card, you can access the Killer Network Manager by clicking on "Advanced Settings (Killer)" on the bottom." copy pasta from https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Gaming-Desktops-Knowledge-Base/Lenovo-Nerve-Center/m-p/3588946 Last edited by igneli#6865 on Apr 18, 2021, 6:20:31 PM

Thanks a lot.
For me it was the Network Priority feature of Lenovo Vantage. |
