well, if GGG would come out from under their rock and actually communicate with their players, which is what a forum is for, we might have an answer to this issue. was it a mistake or another nerf to cripple players that need it?
poe is going down fast. Diablo 4 and Baldur's Gate 3 have no performance issues. play them instead
Tim_GGG answered in a couple different threads earlier today so they are just picking and choosing where to reply.

could we at least get an definitive answer on this particular issue from someone from GGG? please

some players are having to make quite a few build changes to compensate for this. nothing was mentioned anywhere about this nerf.

it's simple, just let us know if it's a bug or intended change with fertile catalysts no longer affecting reduced mana reserve

The modifier reduced mana reserved was changed to reduced reservation of skills - this mod is no longer affected by fertile catalysts, as it doesn't have the life or mana tag.

Surely this is an oversight since you can not reserve anything but life or mana currently, thus the mod should have either/both of those tags.

It bricks all builds that rely on any source of reduced reservation on their jewelry - rings/amulets, since these can be affected by fertile catalysts?

Thanks for your report, this is intended as the mod is no longer specific to Life or Mana.

A similar situation also occurs with Abrasive Catalyst.
Zerphi's Heart Unique Amulet for example has flat added Chaos Damage which applies to both Attacks and Spells and is not modified by Abrasive Catalyst.
So it's an intended change.

Great, there goes my build. I wish there was more thought into some changes.
The fact that this was a Undocumented/Unannounced Stealth Nerf (Which is also RETRO ACTIVE.. rip my std amulet) is quite rude and un-fair in my opinion.
Its not like you can reserve anything else other than life or mana therefor logically it should have both tags..

There is no way in the game to reserve anything else apart from Mana or Life. Changing it to reservation of skills makes sense, does not change the fact that it is always Life or Mana that actually gets reserved.

If there are no plans to make us be able to reserve energy shield as well then this change should be reverted and the mana and life tag should be added to all reservation mods.

If something similar occurs elsewhere it doesn't suddenly justify this, right? With all due respect, this change doesn't make any sense. As already mentioned in this thread, skills reserve either mana or life so it makes sense to have both or at least one of the tags, perhaps mana as this is the default behaviour for this type of skills. If the intention was to nerf a build I'd appreciate the transparency. Making "ninja" nerfs will never get a positive reaction from your player base.

For the future, a heads up would be much appreciated when doing these changes as there is still a big player base in Standard who actively support GGG by buying supporter packs and deserve respect.
Just saw this now. Think a lot of players are going to only realize this nerf in a few days when they log into Standard again.

I have been playing the league but play Standard 99% of the time. This change is going to result in a lot of bricked builds. Some people aren't going to bother to fix their builds and may just quit when they see this change.
