NVidia 2070 Super maxing out and overheating
I'm not sure if it is due to overclocking, or something, but for the last 2 weeks ro so, whenever I play PoE my graphics card is so over worked (even with all graphics settings set to low) that it overheats causing my FPS to be throttled to an avg of 16 FPS.
I have run many other applications to test the card and it operates just fine at around 50% load even at highest resolutions and graphics. ONLY PoE is causing my graphics card to be on meth and run with GPU clock spikes up to 2K MHz, operate at 99-100% GPU load, and suicidally overheats killing my gaming experience. Please help! I need to resolve before expansion launch! :) Last bumped on Apr 18, 2021, 6:38:38 PM

using a 2060 (not even super) sitting at medium ish (some off, some low some high), capped FPS at 60 (75hz monitor but i don't really need more), Dynamic culling is enabled, dynamic resolution is disabled, back and foreground FPS set to 60fps
The GFX card dose not even really get hot enough to kick the fan up to be noisy (VR dose), CPU temps are under 50 celcius and FPS usually sits quite high and rarely dips too badly and not had any freezes/zero fps drops. Then again i don't mess around with GFX card clocks or settings for the GFX controller (Nvidia control panel), i did try it once...following a video guide to maximize your GPU and it just caused problems including kicking out more heat than the game settings would indicate. I've noticed that unless I take the shadows down to low the cpu pins at 100%.
CPU (R7 5800x) is at 40C, GPU is 75C, (RX580 8GB) is pinned at 100% usage. This was in the strand in the beginning. No other game seems to do this. Even horribly optimized unity games. |

Use Vsync if your cooling cannot cope with the load of the video card.

I've tried using Vsync and it does not solve the issue in the slightest. Now, even when I should be running 90 FPS it statrs rubberbanding from 90 FPS to 20 FPS and back every 0.1 seconds... Again, only PoE has this effect on my GPU! Please help!
