SHOP PRICES are absurdly over the top.

Lower the point cost of items, or increase the points you get for your real money. As it is right now it's absurdly overpriced.
For 200 points you can't even get 2 skill effects if they are not on sale and 200 posts cost 20 $

For that money you can get full games for PS4 or for PC .
Right now on PS4 store spring sale, you get 30 GB games or even 40 GB under 20 $

So who ever thinks out those over the top prices, that you have in your shop, is clearly not paying attention to the real world.

I will not spend 20$ for only 2 skill effects... get real.

If you want people buying , then you have to have reasonable prices... Right now i assume people who buy those overpriced stuff are absolutely not great in economics.

Game is free and not pay to win (no matter how hard you try to construe that it is) and is update regularly multiple times per year...need to make money some way.

So you are perfectly fine to be a bum, play the game for free while others fund it for you.

The shop prices are calibrated toward two types of poeple:


- Rich idiots with more money than they need.
- Vulnerable people prone to addictions (same targets that gambling goes after).


If you're not in either group, just buy what you want and ignore the rest. It's not needed.

I live in country where $20 it rly not a small sum, many work for such an amount whole week. So I was forced to think and finally do some questionable things to be able to get a computer what can run poe and couple of packs for it on top!

Well, first world or not the pricing is fine, this is coming from someone that was long term unemployed and still managed to buy supporter packs.

Seriously UK unemployment support is £75 per week atm (was less) and you still need to pay bills at the end of the month assuming nothing went wrong and you didn't splurge on shit you could manage to buy a supporters pack every now and then (and upgrades for the PC even lower end ones)

The prices are beyond absurd considering they are not actually selling anything.

$50 is a new release AAA game not 3Mb of texture maps that took an intern 3 hours to whip up. POE gamble boxes are by far the worst value in the history of gaming. That is an award that has ALOT of competition and POE wins by a lightyear. Same with cosmetics, they get the gold award for absurd.

At the end of the day if you want to pay the idiotic prices they charge that is buyers prerogative. If you cant afford it or have moral objections to the cancer that is "in game currency" and "surprise mechanics" then too bad GGG isn't targeting you.

Every clown that pays $500 for the "special pack" is simply paying for YOUR game experience. It is simple formula, if they can get one twat to buy something for $500 they dont have to sell something for $5 to 100 people. Makes sense to me and actually agree from a business standpoint.

As long as 1% of the player base is willing to pay these prices the 99% dont matter. They can throw the 99% a bone now and again with "sales" that are still a massive rip off but gives them a chance to buy stash tabs and stuff. By that time you will have had your moneys worth to be fair.

Even with all ^^^^ that noise it don't change the fact POE is the "best in slot" by a big margin and they continue to pump out great content. I can live without cosmetics and I am happy for the whales to keep the lights on at GGG IDGAS aint my money.

Why do you think D3 sucks? It aint profitable. It has had 23 seasons of the same content and has Iphone graphics lol.

Given the prices, I'm pretty certain GGG caters primarily to whales rather than the small spender.

The exception of course being stash tabs. I bet the big money comes from those because even small spenders will want to expand their stash.

Every business needs to make use of discounts, package deals and limited time offers in order to squeeze the most out of their customers - GGG is simply doing the same.

If you apply the prices which they use to create a discount and fear of missing out, the MTX are not that expensive after all.

Today for a $55 supporter pack you get can get:

Silver Crescent Supporter pack:
> 1 Full armor set
> 1 Alternate helmet
> 1 Portal MTX
> 7 different weapon MTX

For 550 points today you can buy
> 11 armor pieces or whatever you want for 50 points.

You can buy 20 mid to high tier MTX today for $55, making one MTX cost $2.75 which is way below what the standard price for MTX is these days in video games.
