Personally i would say that 1 quad tab is much more usefull for storage then 4 separe normal tabs.
But really these days it doesn't matter as much since tab folders are a thing so you can also put multiple normal tabs into one folder for a specifig thing. Like i have multiple tabs worth of various base items for crafting and really wished i could just compine them to a quad tab, but now i just have folder for those tabs. I also have a quad for cluster jewels since you kinda want to keep quite a lot of those around so you can have them for any future build that might need them, but i quess if i was getting storage for those now i could also just get a normal tab for each size of them and just folder them together "An it harm none, do what you will"

Quad tab has issues with item placement overlapping due to the item size changing which makes it annoying to sort inside the tab itself. As mentioned though they're good for dumping.
That being said with the new tab sorting affinity system Quad tab is even less useful. If that system was out 2 years ago I would never have bought a Quad tab. "Never trust floating women." -Officer Kirac

Advantage of quad tab is it is much bigger, the disadvantage is that items shrink in size when put in quad tab. An item category that won't fit in one regular tab then use quad tab unless you will be doing lots of item shuffling in that tab. Moving items around in the quad tab is more hassle because of the size difference of the item on the cursor versus in the quad tab.
Another advantage of quad tab is in my stash I bought over 100 tabs before there were quad tabs. That means navigating through the stash tabs is a pain sometimes which would be eased somewhat if I had more quad tabs and therefore less tabs overall. This problem has been mitigated somewhat by the stash tab folder though. My suggestion would be to buy a bundle of premium tabs and a quad tab. See how you use your stash and go from there. " I think I prefer quad tabs. Do you think 7 quad / 22 premium ratio is good? I will use premium tabs for setting the same price on the whole tab of items or more specific sorting.
