Sacrificing influenced Sacrificial Garb in Atzoatl cannot create influenced Shadowstitch?

I've spent a large portion of Ritual league experimenting in the Temple, attempting to get an Elder-influenced Shadowstitch just to see if it's possible.
After running ~10 temples I have yet to receive a Shadowstitch (https://i.imgur.com/sDo12qO.png), and considering the supposed 25% odds, I'm either horribly unlucky or the game doesn't allow this interaction. Can we receive some clarification on whether this is possible? If not, it would be an interesting addition to 3.14 given its Vaal theme.
