Huge price gap between the 4 Agnerod Staves and The Vinktar Square Map
" This is closer to the reality of the situation. Imagine spamming 8 different people all selling the West you need to craft the map but nobody answering because they're in a 3-hour rota marathon. Time = money. [19:36]#Mirror_stacking_clown: try smoke ganja every day for 10 years and do memory game

Sure. It's a bit like the example of ... what was it ... the minion helmet a couple of leagues back. You could craft one for about 10ex and they were selling for 30-40 ex.
Within 2 days of the "how to" video from a popular streamer, the trade prices had dropped to something like 12 ex. There are things like this every league. Sometimes they get called out with a streamer how-to video, but often not. Last edited by GreyLensman#5323 on Mar 24, 2021, 4:36:07 PM

Time is money... someone had to buy each staff and assemble into map format... any idea what a pain in the ass it is to get responses on a 4C item...
Another reason I dont play trade. That map could take 20 minutes to assemble spamming away... Git R Dun! Last edited by Aim_Deep#3474 on Mar 24, 2021, 4:52:38 PM

A single trade is worth at least 5c of the average player's time. 10-15c for power farmers. Then there's the mental/emotional fatigue of having to deal with trade. There are lots of "flips" you can do like this in PoE.
Highest tier Vinktar has always been a good flip since most people don't check the staff ilvl and by the time they want awakening bonus on Vinktar Square they're willing to pay a big premium to just get it over with. |

In one hour, probably you can buy staffs for ~6 maps, which means about 2.5 ex. Does it worth the trouble? Early league, when you need upgrades, maybe. Later, I don't think so.

The price difference has 3 explanations:
- players who don't know the recipe - players who don't bother trading the staves. I mean I don't recognize one from another and it is kind of lots of clics. |

One of the first things I ever did to make currency in this game was buy the staffs and vendor them for the map then sell the map.
It's too much effort for the payout for me these days but I'm sure it's still a thing for many new players. |

Congratulations you have found just 1 of litteraly dozens if not 100s of items/cards/prophecy's you can do this with. It all comes down to Time vs Return. How much time does it take you to buy those 4 different staffs then sell the maps at profit? Thats the question. But, that's also where if you are serious about a method such as this you would buy each staff in bulk stopping at a certain pay threshold then mass make and sell the maps.
Ill give you one even better... Every single league there is ALWAYS at least 1-3+ items on the market you can Buy shit rolled, Divine, and Profit. Sometimes exponentially. Back in Incursion maybe Delve league (may have been Betrayal There was two or three leagues in a row i did this) when that one Quant Ammy (Bisco's i think it was?) was a big deal and has since been nerfed you could buy shit rolls of those for 13-15ex, divine, and make 18-25ex in return. 30+ex if you hit the jackpot on a perfect roll. (Did that multiple times each league i did it) You just had to work up the initial investment to get started. But, once you do it a couple times and can start buying multiple Amulets at a time it was nothing to make 50-80ex in a single day if you went hard at it. But, like any other method like this you end up playing the actual game so much less it ends up being short lived that and the window for doing these things gets smaller with each week and after a month each passing day getting harder and harder to get amulets and resell at better profits. Eventually it gets to the point its no longer worth the effort. Thats just one of the many MANY ways ive found to make nice currency through Trading and all mine are pretty piss easy to find with most of them just happening on by accident. Cards are another one i always find multiples of that can be profitable to buy the cards, make whatever it is they produce, and sell at a profit. Especially some of the Cards that make Prophecy's that also turn around and make Upgraded items. I've also had some really good luck making currency through crafting my own items for my builds and selling off the old items i upgrade out of but those are hit or miss and highly dependent on the build you choose to play and the Meta. For example when i play RF builds Horror Crafted Elder Helms will almost ALWAYS sell for HUGE amounts of Exalts while at the same time when Minion builds were also all the rave i could also sell off attempts at RF helms than hit minion rolls as well to help cover all my costs invested in the crafting. To make it so im getting paid to make my own upgrades. There is a fine line between Consideration and Hesitation.
The former is Wisdom, the latter is Fear. |

" i said "logic", op completely ignore the time factor, that is what I'm talking about, not to comparing things. on my first post, i've brought the tree and seed thing because it's easier to see the picture when compare to an extreme case. In this case, a man spent like 10 mins to make 30c? and it is worth like $0.1? edit: try to make it clear, my post is to focus on logic, not the scale of the comparison.
