" Always a big shock for these people when reality comes calling lol. It's that kind of treatment that made me realize I didn't want to work in the industry after I finished college. Too many bullies who can't appreciate the technical realities they don't have to personally deal with. I'm glad to hear what I said didn't bother you too much, but all the same I appreciate you taking the time to reply and I shouldn't have tried to assume the worst right off the bat. People deserve better. =) Regarding the latency issues, I've actually seen significant improvements the past couple weeks, which is why I took so long to make another post. I've been saving a few traceroutes here and there, but have generally only seen 1-2 percent loss at most, and much less severe issues when in-game. There are some times where I still see severe loss as I did before, but even then the latency in-game fluctuates only between 20-100 for the most part, with peaks around 150, but never up to 1000ms like before. While the loss is still occurring at the same hops, it nonetheless seems that they have improved their treatment of the packets significantly. You can see one of the days where there were still issues here: https://pastebin.com/4tFHhL4Q What's strange is that I was seeing significant loss on Canada East around 7pm as I always did, but the loss on Washington was significant *before* and *after* 7pm, yet completely fine when I tested right around 7. I've realized, as well, that I'm going to have to end up moving again over the next few months, so with all the technical updates going on I figured there was no point to me piling one more request on the support staff when I'm not going to remain using this connection long-term. I'll wait to do any further testing until I get settled into a new place, as everything will probably be different once I do, anyway. If possible, it would be great to have this thread archived so I can reference it in the event I have similar issues in the future. In either case, I'm definitely seeing massive improvements compared to the 1000ms ping spikes I was getting before, and very much appreciate your help! |
