36 character and phoenix boss

how constructive do you want....


There is no secret for quite a lot of vanilla boss....just dps it down

The phoenix, the wind up time for the explosion AOE skill is quite obvious, just watch the map mod carefully, since with AOE map mod, the boss' AOE skill can be screenwide. I play ranged characters (haven't use minion to do this boss and i seldom play melee, can't remember the last time i kill Act 5 Kitava with melee) and sometimes it is annoying to be AOE-ed when i forget to check map mod.

There is even a spot in bottom left that the AI is bugged and never able to catch you so that you can keep shooting him down.

The only other Shaper Guardian boss i never able to handle easily is chimera's fog phase, as i never change my flask setup to specially deal with it. People said bring fire res flask for phoenix but i never really need it despite the boss phase do lower the fire res when the boss' hp go lower.

And the generic either stack hp and evasion or other damage migration (or just grass cannon shoot everything down meta) is an assumed knowledge and no need to be specific to this boss.

Or people can always do white shaper Guardian map and unsocket all watchstone

Your behavour is not constructive. You didn't try "improve" or solve my start problem at the begining of the thread

In my experience the phoenix is one of the more tough encounters in regards of the guardians. I'm having almost 900 hours in the game, so don't worry, I didn't kill him either.

In #820 often are boss killers that do it for free that expect nothing, but appreciate being tipped. Aside from that, did you take a look at videos or the wiki in regards of the fight with him? His mechanics are quite annoying, I guess.

Don't bother with pseudo-elitists, they're not worthy of any attention most of the time.

Nothing really changed with Phoenix in 6 months.
The only thing affecting it that is new is Maven being able to witness it. This makes the fight harder.
You can disable Maven witnessing the fight by clicking the shiny "sun" icon when you put the map to the map device.

this is not about elitism, those you call elitists here are in fact exiles who have been helping people on these forums for years. it is about attitude of a player, who has been around for some time, and for some reason refuses to learn and instead keeps on blaming the game for his own incompetence.
