Why the TFT black market is a problem costing GGG money and a solution to fix it.

It's a good idea to limit harvest crafts in a table. It's a bad idea to create a system that pushes players into a "black market"....

... and it's costing GGG money.

It creates a barrier for entry into the game for new players.

New players can't sell harvests on the black market because scammers steal from people and new players aren't "trusted".

New players are the most likely to be scammed.

New players are less likely to have spent much money on the game as they're trying it out.

You get to spend more time playing the game and less time camping TFT to be the fastest to respond to a new post to get what you need.

The system also makes Harvest crafting more expensive and less accessible to new players. By limiting the selling of harvests to long time players, it gives them something of a "trusted monopoly" that drives up the prices to buy harvests.

I can tell you from personal experience that when the helm I was wearing got stolen by a TFT scammer, I was ready to quit. If I didn't have an IRL friend with lots of ex literally replace my gear for me, I probably would have left the game and GGG wouldn't have got the $100 ish I've spent on stash tabs since.

It seems to me that GGG can nerf harvest crafting without removing it's tradability, which clearly failed since the players have a "black market" alternative that has become a necessity.

Proposed Solution:

Create a guest window in the hortistation where a player can drop their item and see the crafts in the table with prices linked to them and a "COD" feature that doesn't allow them to use the craft without putting the money in a payment window attached to the harvest. Once the harvest has been used, the buyer can no longer access the money in the payment window.

The buyer always has complete control over their item, the seller is protected from the buyer stealing their crafts, and GGG still gets to limit harvest crafts to 10 at a time.

Everyone wins.

Every time I read one of these posts the little voice in my head saying, "They should just delete harvest entirely" gets a little bit louder...

Frankly I hope it gets a little louder in the heads of the creative directors as well at this point, I'd be so annoyed.
I have never felt further from what I know and love
Just lock the item that you can't trade it in 4hr when you harvest crafted it.

Feel free to visit closests shrink.

Tho, OP is suggesting a working feature.
Im an manymany more is sick alrdy of checking ang and visiting 3rd programs, atttabing, spenting tons of time waiting for byers, its so tiring, boring and time consuming, so..

For ex, I already skipping the Harvest, just skipping it.

I want to play the game.
Arpg

So I play it.
Harvest as its done not any close to arpg at all. And 10 limit is a pure joke.
Removing Harvest content is not a solution at all, and on a personal note, Harvest is one of the main reason I am still playing on, as it gives me a sense of motivation to craft an item by myself and not simply just grinding and accumulating currency to buy it. I think OP suggested a good way for improvement.

Another way could be to seal the craft into a "crafting orb", similar to the prophecy mechanic.
You will need to pay a cost to seal it, and it scales with the tiers of the harvest mod rarity.
These orbs can then be traded and unsealed (no cost for unsealing) into the buyer's horticraft station, provided they have a free slot.

unpopular opinion. harvest makes the game too easy.
I have never felt further from what I know and love

Think there are many ways to make the game harder for players that like challenges.
- Play on HC, HC SSF
- Play a off-meta build
- Or just intentionally skip harvest contents/crafts

Trade and/or playing the game for too long hours make the game too easy.

Try beating the game in a league, HCSSF or even SCSSF, playing a maximum of 1hr/day, and I am pretty sure it becomes hard enough again.

Trade in combination with Harvest is indeed pretty broken (especially at the top end). They won't remove trade (at least not in general), and they won't remove Harvest (at least not completely), so it'll be really interesting what they will do. Right now, the "solution" they have is irritating, frustrating and, quite frankly, pretty bad.
Remove Horticrafting station storage limit.

I agree. I did trade on TFT, & I tell you its hard for a "Start-up", & its a risk from either seller/buyer.

I have (like many) have harest crafted gears but I think the design is not good for the game, & also harvest TFT divided the player base, & even more so from the casuals that just want to play ( & not deal with 3rd party apps) with the "elites" that play for efficiency.

ALso I think able to just craft your gears to every stats you want is not a good design for a loot game.

Its way too powerful for crafting.

I literally never pick up & ID any gears par some good uniques & jewels. Only thing I picked up are currencies like most people. This is against idea of a loot game.

Its more time efficient to not bother with gears drop & buy with the currency you picked up for gears (for use or base for craft) from people who bothered to ID gears.

While I do agree with you, This is NOT solving the problem. Its just avoiding the problem.
