unholy might from cluster notable "overwhelming malice" bugged interaction with EO

When you're talented into the keystone elemental overload, the cluster notable "overwhelming malice" from the critical medium cluster jewel does not properly trigger unholy might on critical strike.

I know I'm critting, because elemental overload is triggering. The buff clearly appears.

But unholy might is not.

When I remove EO unholy might is now triggered on critical strike and the appropriate buff icon appears.

Testing this myself, the cluster notable "Overwhelming Malice" appears to be working as intended.

You're going to be triggering Elemental Overload far more often than Overwhelming Malice because Elemental Overload triggers on every crit, while Overwhelming Malice has a 10% chance to trigger on crit.

Builds utilizing Elemental Overload tend to focus less on crit chance. Adding that on top of the shorter duration and low trigger chance of Overwhelming Malice means that you're likely to have low uptime on the buff unless you invest more into it.

well i went a full map without it triggering and then it triggered the first pack with EO untalented so i went and made a quick assumption without testing more. the fact that a few people were making the same complaint on reddit ~11 months ago made me feel like it was bugged and i was wasting my time.

I'll give it another go and update later.

btw, i have around a ~20% chance to crit which i why i didn't chalk it up to merely being a low crit issue given i was watching my buff bar for a full map clear without it triggering once.

yup. chucked on a diamond flask and checked again. triggered EO 20 times before the first unholy might. guess i'm experiencing what's known was terrible luck.
10% chance on critical... :(
