Breathstealer anointment counts as a lab enchantment

When attempting to enchant an anointed pair of Breathstealer gloves, a window pops up noting that the current enchantment will be replaced. My current gloves have no enchantment, just an anointment. Using the font removes the anointment. Why are they both taking the same effect affix slot? Expected result: - having both the anointment and lab enchantment - no pop-up message regarding removal of the anointment Sitting in HO spamming alts for 4 hours straight is peak PoE gameplay.
