A simple band-aid for the junk loot

The point that I'm trying to make is that PoE item system is the way it is in all other ARPG games.

The definition of loot system in loot based games brought up to...vendor shards. Nice design would recommend.
And no, it's exactly the opposite in ANY other aRPG in existence, pick one.

It's indeed the state of loot in PoE - 99.99% vendor shards, which enable obtaining gear, in one way or another.
Almost no upgrades by character progression, no chase items. It's the literal denial of basic loot related principles in this genre.
Of course you may find this state just fine, it's your personal opinion and preferences. But it doesn't mean it fits the game, or others like it, or it's a good design decision in general.

Hopefully it'll be reworked, sooner or later. Developers see a problem, and that's encouraging at least.

Otherwise, anything that lowers the junk loot is a good thing until they will create Detonate Weapon Skill Gem (and wouldn't THAT be a blast of a skill!)

You are a genius!

I will go further, it could be a Detonate Loot Support gem :)

Your actual item filter should select what will be detonated.

Ah, but we already have that, and clever, too: When there is too much loot, the instance crashes and all the loot is, erm, filtered out :D
May your maps be bountiful, exile
Thank goodness for loot filters, however they wouldn't be needed if loot dropped more scarcely and with better rolls. In blight maps, the game goes nuts when the encounter ends and the blight drops all of the loot, but my filter cuts out 90%+ of the stuff and I only pick up the 1% of what remains that has any value.

If you need a filter to remove an insurmountable amount of junk from your screen to keep it from being cluttered, then perhaps it should just be outright removed from the game. It's redundant. Go an extra step further and make the remaining loot have better affixes. There's no reason why you should be getting mods whose level matches act content when you're in T14+ maps. That might help improve performance.

If GGG's not gonna make crafting more accessible to all via Harvest, then drops need to be improved.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!
