Maloney's Mechanism and Explosive Arrow (explosion) Scaling

I was looking at potentially buying this quiver in my EA build but I already reach 20 fuse stacks quite easily and quickly. I have a bow with +2 arrows, Barrage Support + Dying Sun and quite high attack speed.

If the quiver is shooting out even 1 arrow/sec (or more if it matches my atk speed?) then would that equate to a DPS lose on my total EA explosion? I'd imagine that out of every 20 stacks of fuse they'd now be having 2-3 of those arrows coming from the quiver.

I'm aware that people use it mostly to apply a second curse or some kind of utility arrow so I'm not sure if I should just get a cheaper +1 arrow quiver.

It fires only once per second. Linking it to Barrage Support does nothing. Barrage skill itself never fires. LMP, GMP, Volley and Arrow Nova works though. Having more than one gem of the same arrow skill puts them all on cooldown together. If different arrow skills, then they have individual cooldowns, so it is not wrong to have more than one arrow skill on automation.

I mean I use Barrage Support on my 6L to stack fuses quickly to the limit. I see other people using EA with a 2nd EA on that quiver and not sure why. I assume it's so they can stack up to 20 fuses?

Are you saying those people's 6L Explosive Arrow would go on cooldown if their quiver fired EA as well then? So instead of my 6l attacking 4x/sec it would put my main skill on cooldown?? That doesn't sound right....unless I am understanding wrong.

I was thinking of putting Ensnaring Arrow + Combustion or curse/Hextouch on for some utility but I also kind of want a 2nd Explosive Arrow to get more raw fuses/explosions out. Just not sure if the quiver's arrow would knock off some of my fuses though.

EDIT: Just looked at their profile again and looks like they changed their Explosive Arrow from the quiver into Blast Rain. Not sure why they had it in their quiv when it's the main skill.

No, I meant the cooldown was if two EA gems are on the quiver. It won't affect the cooldown of EA on other equipments.

OK that's what I think you were getting at but wasn't sure.
Now if I do buy the quiver soon I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not to put my main skill in it too or go with something else.

IIRC, the changes to EA from 3.9 or 3.10 made it so that the explosion detonates when it reaches 20 fuses or when the 1sec duration is up. I already reach more than 20 in under 1sec with 75 stacks of rage, esp with zerk up.
Tbh, zerkers feel real squishy and take 10% more dmg so it's prob best to fit in some kind of defensive layer into the quiver/other arrow.
