Poacher's Mark Interaction with Damage Conversion
Poacher's Mark says "Adds (6-30) to (9-45) Physical Damage to Hits against Cursed Enemies" but I'm not sure if that extra dmg comes from *me* or the mark/spell?
If I have phys to fire dmg conversion is that converted dmg only from *my* sources of dmg/main attack? Or will the extra dmg from the mark be converted to fire dmg too? Thanks a lot. Last bumped on Jan 1, 2023, 3:20:57 AM

It's not much different than the old Despair's "hits to cursed enemies have x added chaos damage", or the incursion "add x fire damage against burning enemies".
The Physical damage from Poacher will give extra physical damage to hits against marked enemy. This "extra" damage will add to the base damage of the hit, and thus every hit-based mechanic will apply - included damage conversion and "add x damage as extra damage" In your example, if you have a 100% Phys2Fire convertion, the added physical damage from Poacher will be completely turned into fire damage I cannot think right now of a localized damage conversion unique item or mod, but if it says "hits with this weapon convert x damage to y", I'd expect it to work, be it with hits you deal yourself, with an ancestral totem or blade trap (since they "create a copy" of your weapon, thus still applying any local "hits with this weapon" mods) |
