Cannot leave town

Anytime I load the game I am able to appear in Oriath and can interact with vendors, NPCs, and my stash
However if I use the waypoint or use the command /hideout, the loading screen pops up and immediately freezes. Despite waiting several minutes nothing happens and eventually I click and the application tells me that it has crashed and it tries to send a Microsoft report. I have entirely uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I have repaired the game. I have switched servers. I have no idea what else to do at this point. I had this problem about 1 week ago which seemed to resolve itself after uninstalling and reinstalling but no luck this time as well as the entire install taking quite a while on its own I was able to play normally 2 days ago, nothing changed with my laptop but opening POE the next day is no longer functional.
