How long before we filter chaos orbs?
Loot is a HUGE problem that nobody, even the community, seens to care. Be it the loot itself, or the management, or the craft.
But I don't think that alone is responsible for the great decline in players after 1 month. Poor product quality, lack of QoL improvements, bloated content, and the constant feeling that "we don't care, working on next expansion" GGGCent shows after they release content is what drives players away. But all these has been voiced over the years. GGGCent just "we don't care, working on next expansion". So in time bloated content and grind alone won't be enough. Remember that many people are just playing PoE "because there are no other good ARPGs", to quote a famous forumer. And here I think Kopo is right: as soon as another good ARPG is released, PoE is in real danger. It's foolish to think you don't need to improve or listen to your "customers" just because there are no competitors. "There's no thing like random one-shots in this game. You only die because you take 353,456,237 hits in 0.2 seconds."

Nothing about this has anything to do with F2P. This same thing happens in every game, power creep is just part of games. If anything is at fault here it is that they allow trade in the first place. Once you allow trade you devalue large portions of what drops.
