Why on earth this game still have this Fusing mechanism?

" Did you people not actually watch exilecon? Yes fusings will be gone, because jewelers are replacing them. You'll be spamming jewelers on a skill gem and getting that 6th socket will be about as rare as a fusing hitting a 6 link. |

" I already have. At this point I'm just shitposting. And that's the problem, I'm NOT playing anymore and thus I am NOT spending money on this game. Now, you may think that one guy quitting and not spending his occasional $5 on stuff is no big deal, but a couple thousand "no big deals" add up to a big fucking deal. GGG is driving away it's casual audience, which, like it or not, exists and is far more valuable than a handful of whales. I have had MONUMENTAL patience with GGG, far more than I expect other casual players to have. Go ahead and deny it, go ahead and laugh it off, but this is not sustainable. GGG needs to start catering to the "1hr a week" crowd if they want to survive long term. Or, y'know, dedicate themselves to China where they are already catering to casuals. This is a buff™

Im also casua; but i understand that simple thing that im not the center of the world and i wont ruin a game for other just because i dont like some aspects of it. They dont have to cater to casual because they didnt need to to this day and they are still alive. The fact that they are going strong for 10 years already proves you wrong enough. Its not a game for you, deal with it. |

6 links is from an old greedy attempt at gating your main power upgrade, the 6 link, behind a RNG wall plus an escape route (the 1200 fusing craft), so in the perfect "f2p" formula if you wanted to "save time" you would conveniently go to the RMT shop and drop some bucks to buy the fusings and save you days of pain.
Fortunately somebody with some neurons may have realized that it was a fail strategy that made people quit en masse cos they aint stupid, and now rightfully the game throws 6 links left and right in an attempt to save some damage Gives streamers & friends queue priority and leaves supporters who spent hundreds $ packs in the 100k queue.

nowdays getting a 6-link recipe is way harder then get 1500 fusings.
Altho I suggest just farm currency and buy item 6-linked - the most reliable and fastest way. Previous league I spent 2400 fusings to 6-link 46% qual item, so believe me. PoE1 nowadays looks more and more like a fan-made fork server with tons of custom weird experimental stuff rather than original game with carefully thought out balance brough live to players.
