Why Is My Self-Bleed (Unaffected by Bleed While Leeching) Character Dying to Self-Bleed?

From the wiki:

Note: It is not possible to gain any "negative" mods from enemies such as curses or hexes. Mods gained will always have a positive effect either to improve the player's defense or offensive capability.

So, please point out where you find it in wiki and let me to delete it or add tag that this statement has doubt

Vile Touch could at least contributing to what is killing the OP. Corrupted Blood (and even the normal bleeding you inflict on yourself with Golden Rule) is the bigger issue to watch for. You're unaffected by bleeding while leeching, but out of combat your leech instances are likely going to expire before all bleeds wear off when there's any kind of distance between mobs/packs. That gap can be just enough time to nuke yourself.

As for the wiki statement about negative mods, it is correct. But there are some exceptions, and this situation is one. Mods like Vile Touch aren't inherently negative for the player, so you absolutely can swipe it with HH or Inspired Learning. Golden Rule is what is turning it into a negative.

You just have to be careful and keep an eye on what mods are on you.

I'm guessing it is poison. You may be inflicting it on an enemy and Golden Rule returns the favor. Try changing your pantheon to Soul of Shakari and see if that helps. It won't stop the poison, but you won't be getting insane stacks of it and you can easily counter the resulting DoT.

I had this issue on my own flicker strike character a few months back.

As the OP stated in another topic, and as it was kinda hinted by the fact OP died with their ES completely filled, the answer to the original question "Why my self-bleeding bleed-immunity Slayer dies of self-bleeding" has been answered.

The answer is "It was not bleeding, it was self-reflecting Poison gained from Vile Touch when using Inspired Learning". Did not expect Vile Touch also granted chance to poison, perhaps I am missing something from the gems setup.

Suggestions are to either remove the Inspired Learning jewel, or equipping Maw of Conquest instead of Abyssus (since Shakari's power has been nerfed and there is a good chance 5 self-reflected poison stacks may be more than enough to suicide the character).
