Is Vaal Pact Compatible With Offering to the Serpent?

I'd like to run a The Baron leecher necro build with Offering to the Serpent and would like to know if Vaal Pact indeed makes up for the leech rate reduction from gloves? Thanks in advance!

Offering to the Serpent doesn't reduce leech rate, it reduces maximum recovery per life leech, which mean each instance will be shorter, means you will need to hit more often but the recovery rate still the same, and if you have Vaal pact the instance will be even shorter because it's double leech rate.

this will be a problem because you need life leech to maintain the effect even after you're full life and there is no target to hit, but if the leech duration is too short then it is pointless to have the "Life Leech effects are not removed at Full Life" mod

For example, you had a barrel of 10 liters and you use 2 per sec, now you only have a barrel of 5 and you use 4 per sec, you will need to replace the barrel very often.

So is it safe to say it's better to go away with Vaal pact and just rely on the gloves?

for me, i will choose the Vaal pact over the glove, forget about the math and everything, the glove alone will give you an extra 2.5 second of leech effect after you stop hit things, if that really help you then go for it.
