Lightning Mirage
It's by far the most annoying enemy in the game.
You CANNOT SEE it in Rituals for example, if you have ice effects all around the area. You have to keep moving and hope you have a little space in-between you to avoid it. "Wealth in a game is measured by the amount of fun, joy and entertainment you can get out of it".

Sometimes they spawn right on you and and have no time to react or identify it especially with large amount of visuals going off at the same time. It feels bad.

Stationary builds are usually very tanky.
Lightning mirage is here to gently remind you that you are only living under the misconception that you are tanky. Fun lil story, I was doing a cowards rota and all of a sudden two peeps died because they happened to run around like headless chickens near a guy that just spammed ball lightnings while stacking lightning mirages. I hate this mechanic with a bottom level of hell hatred. It's the reason I always have a shocked flask of some sort. What's become unfair as of late is it's almost guaranteed one or more of these are going to spawn in every ritual. You'd better hope a Lightning Mirage mob doesn't spawn too. I'm not going to mention what happens when they spawn in a proximity shield. When you couple that with the vines that don't let you move you might as well just lay down and die.
I understand the game is supposed to be tough, but to spawn all of the the most god-awful small area mechanics in an area that you can't escape from all of the time is unnecessarily cruel. All it really does is make you want to skip the mechanic. Even worse would be to quit the league altogether. I'm not going anywhere though, the game has merged with my DNA. Arguing on the Internet: What's the point when you can't punch them in the face when they really piss you off?

Although it's not the most difficult mechanic, this is one more of the troll cheap ways PoE has to kill players to emulate difficult.
It's a very cheap way to keep players on edge, like volatile blood or corrupt blood. With a gazilion lightning explosions and cosmic things going on the screen it's very difficult to pay attention and dodge all the times. Ritual just makes it worse with a very small area. ![]() "There's no thing like random one-shots in this game. You only die because you take 353,456,237 hits in 0.2 seconds."

Yeah, were there less mobs and less graphical spam in the game, lightning mirage wouldn't be so bad. But it's hard to see it in the sea of other effects, and can easily two shot you.
Lightning mirage killed me repeatedly for like a month until I finally figured out what it was. At first, I just apparently randomly died to things. Then I noticed the mirages, but had no idea what they were called or what type of mob produced them. Finally I found a lone rare with the mod and figured out how it all worked, long after I'd died to the mechanic dozens of times. Украина в моём сердце

"I like being up close to mobs to see the fear in their eyes(melee) before I send them to meet their maker so it's really apart of the game plan. I think I'm going to make that a part of the advice I give new players from here on out: Never neglect your life and resists and don't stand still if you can help it. i got one shot in harvest league by a mirage from a mega juiced rare T3 bear, i always thought it was overtuned for a mechanic it nearly hits as hard as a volatile when it comes down to it.
