Elementalist: Hits always Ignite does not always ignite

Specifically, monsters with chance to avoid ailments can still avoid my Hits with Always ignite.

Perhaps there's some miswording or bugged interaction?

Can confirm. Rolled Monsters have x% chance to avoid elemental ailments on maps, and it's very noticeable on high tiers of that mod with slower Ignite skills e.g. Flameblast.

It isn't a bug. Think of "always ignite" as 100% chance to ignite and how accuracy works. You can have 100% chance to hit but then the target can still dodge or block your attack. The enemies are dodging your ailment application. I league started an ignite character so I feel your pain but just how it is.

If it was considered as 100% chance to ignite, and i already have 100% chance to ignite. It would sum to 200% chance to ignite.

As far as i know, going above 100% chance to ignite is still counted when fighting monsters with avoid ailments. I usually swap in combustion support to improve ignite chances.

Eitherway, as far as i know the only Wording that outclasses "Always" is "Never", "Immune" and "Cannot".

Since Chance to avoid ailments is not Immune to Ailments (cortex), nor Cannot be ignited.

It should according to rest of game logic, always Ignite monsters with a chance to avoid ailments.
