cannot be stunned not work
i ran with unwavering stance keystone that makes you cannot be stunned
and boss on precint map has a skill that root you you got debuff "pinned" aka rooted stun resistance dont work on it you just sit in 1 place and cannot move however, i was able to flame dash but debuff still was on is this oversight by GGG or working as intended ? i do understand root is different than stun mainly because i play world of warcraft but how does that work in poe Last bumped on Dec 21, 2023, 3:53:15 PM

There are many ways to be immobilized in POE. Stun is just one of them.
Stun immunity means you cannot be immobilized by being stunned, but it doesn't mean that you cannot be immobilized by other means. - here's my sig

If you understand that root is different from stun why would you expect stun immunity to do anything vs root? Root is slow, stun is stun

" "Pinned" isn't new, but it may be the first time you've noticed it. I think what you experienced was Orra Greengate, one of the bosses, who uses Vaal Rain of Arrows. She is probably still using the old version of the skill, which used to pin enemies in place when it hits. The player skill gem doesn't do that any more, but instead applies a slowing debuff (see the 3.3.0 patch notes section). It still isn't "stun" though, so there should be no surprise that "stun immunity" doesn't affect her non-stun debuff. - here's my sig

When I was fighting Vox Twins from Heist unique contract I was "Immobilized" (debuff?). Couldn't move lookalike frozen.
It's funny cause I'm Juggernaut with unstoppable. What? |

I personally think stun on player needs a better visualization. It has the diamond visual above the head but I think that is only for long stuns? I understand it is different from debuff so it doesn't get an icon but its very hard to know what is interrupting your build while learning. I couldn't tell you if many of my characters are getting stunned, or being interrupted by something else entirely.
Trying to differentiate whether I'm being stunned or one of the many other impairments that act like stun, some of which have a debuff icon and some which don't, or just encountering latency, makes it difficult to know what improvement your build requires. I think there can still be some improvement on buff/debuff icon and indicators even though they are much improved from when I started playing. Particularly in HC, it is very hard to learn these without recording the game because there is no death log for players. With characters dead faster than you can hit a log out macro there is often no time mouse over icons, just seeing it is hard enough before trying to match it with a description somewhere on the web.
