Tried nuking the councillors as soon as they appear, but too late it seems.

Re-entering the arena is still just as impossible.

I'm fine with some bosses being harder than others, but this just feels unfair. It doesn't feel like the boss outplayed me. It just feels like running into a brick wall.

I just ran into the same problem and came to seek advice. I don't know what is going on here. Maybe a bug? With 8K+ ES, block and max res, it seems impossible. I won't be surprised if they have misplaced a decimal a place or two.

Well a quick look at the Wiki could help you out..

Kadaris, Crimson Mayor

"The boss uses a skill that cast a ground effect. Standing on it would adds a stack of Blood Ritual, which deals physical damage over time."

Blood Ritual

"Your are taking physical damage over time from a Blood Ritual
Blood Ritual is a debuff from the ground effect of a skill of Kadaris, Crimson Mayor."

"The debuff use a generic skull icon that shared with a lots of debuffs. Blood Ritual itself deals physical damage over time."

In other words the boss is putting down a Stacking Degen on the Ground and if you stand in the Degen you are going to have a bad time. Its also a Physical DOT meaning there's no real way to remove it either other than allow it the time to wear off or out leech/regen the debuff or avoid it all together.

Its no different than people having issues with Influence Maps such a Baran or Bearers... If you see an effect on the Ground theres a 100% chance its bad and you need to avoid it or get the hell out of it if you do find yourself inside such things.

Well a quick look at the Wiki could help you out..

Well, a quick look at PoeDB shows that the rune blasts deal at most 2k damage baseline and the blood stacks deal 6k per minute.

Actually running the boss shows that there are adds called "Shadow Councillor" that apply a much stronger, stacking degen that only ends when they die. The degen cannot be dodged, blocked or outranged, starts immediately upon spawn, the mobs don't despawn and will reapply the debuff once you re-enter the arena after wiping. Crimson Mayor spawns up to 10 of them silently and they are dark red on a dark red background.


After trying out the boss once more: Kadaris spawns Shadow councillors as he is damaged at 16% intervals of his life bar so you need to DPS him slowly and clear the councillors one by one. once dead, the arena-wide degen stops and they leave an orb that projects the same degen locally This is the first boss that actively punishes you for DPSing too fast but not oneshotting hi

I don't normally complain about bosses, but this one was just baffling and frustrating. I get what they were going for conceptually, but the fight is incredibly unclear on why the degen is happening or how to stop it. It's especially bad as an energy shield build, even with Soul of Ralakesh and Vaal Discipline. If I fail to dodge Sirus' die beam and get killed, I know what I could have done to avoid it, but the Crimson Township boss lacks that clarity. I really hope they rework it.

This boss is simply stupid.
7k life. 7 endurance charges, 500+regen (ya kinda low), Ralakesh...ya. my life pool is damn near nonexistant. Oh it's there, to be drained more than this +pots.

Room is simply a clusterfuck. God forbid going to town before you degen your whole life bar. Making 1 boss an order of magnitude harder than any other within 3 tiers is stupid. Sorry. There is no other way to say this.

Making some mechanic that is not clear on top of it as well...gimme a gd break ggg. If you want a map like this. Make it tier 16.
