You shouldn't be allowed to imprint items that can't be restored.

I learned this the hard way when I imprinted my merciless fractured foil in order to harvest double slam it. There should at least be a warning before performing the beastcraft on an item that can't be restored with the imprint, not after the fact.

edit:

Just checked, empty eternal orb does say that imprint cant be applied to fractured items:

Should read the description before using.

Yet again a brainless implementation.

GGG didn't want people to imprint -> fracture -> apply imprint if failed.

So they just made imprints not work on fractured items.

Instead why not just make the imprint function check if the imprint was made of a fractured item, or a completely normal one.

If imprint is of fractured item and applied to fractured item -> works
if imprint is of normal item and applied to normal item -> works
If imprint is of normal item and applied to fractured item -> does not work

This simple logic seems to be too hard, no, better just brick the imprint functionality for fractured items to make our lifes harder for no good reason at all.
