How many average fusings are needed to 6 link an item?

Welcome to POE. I imagine this is a lesson learned by most POE players. In seven years I have never even tried to six link. Although I've accidentally done it twice while trying to five link. I have wasted large numbers of jews, fuses and chromes before, and ended up with nothing.

Lessen learned. You'll get your fuses built back up over time. Keep in mind that with RNG, you can burn through a lot of fuses just trying to four link.

A six link is not normally needed in this game. It's more of a luxury item. If you want one, it's usually better to buy it. Know what you want, and don't be in a hurry to buy. Be patient, and if you are lucky a good deal will pop up in trade.

With that number of fuses, it might have been worthwhile trying to 5L. If you get lucky you might get a 6L. Don't over write a 5L unless you have tons of fuses and a high value item. With 180 fuses, even a 5L is pushing it a little.
