How many average fusings are needed to 6 link an item?

I have 180 fusings.
currently my dps isn't very good so I'd like to 6 link my armor
can I try it now?

1100 based on player testing, 1500 according to ggg (no quality)

wasted them all and there aren't any exalts left

Just map. You find dozens of 6 Socket items wich you can sell to an NPC for jeweller orbs, wich you then can sell for Fusings. it might take some time, but youll get you 6 link sooner or later.

It is 1500 on average divided by item quality. If your armour as 20% quality it drops to 1250 (1500/1.2). You can get a maxquality on armour of 48% dropping you average to ~1013.5.

That is all an average though. I've gotten it with 6 fusings on a 20% quality, and I've taken over 4000 on a 45%+ quality.

It's also worth noting the wiki mentions a get suggesting the base average is 1200, not 1500.

Use Tabula Rasa armour instead problem solved.

Btw I once spent 3500 fusings to 6-link an armour several leagues ago.

Another important question is if your armour worth to be six-linked. New players tend to spend a lot of orbs, like fusing and chormatics, in not good itens when with less amount of currency they could have trade for something better.

About DPS, you can also check for a better bow. Base Damage can give you more DPS than an extra GEM.

Surprised no one suggested this.

trade for a 6 link. A lot of them drop on the server
every day and very very few of them have stats the
player wanted. BUT they have value so are put up for trade.

my first 6l this league was a rare EV/ES with life and
%ED and 2 resists. not bad for 25C

second 6l cost 55C and had much more EV/ES life dual resists
and mana.

the only problem is if you want a unique armour. some of them
are build enabling and therefore command a much higher price.
(still below 1200 fusings most of the time)

I intend to save my exalts and C and buy something BIG
worth like 5-10 EX for my endgame armour.

Doing your own 6L doesn't make economic sense in most situations. Say you could do it in 1200 fusings for sure; that's about 500c or 5 exalts.

You can buy a corrupted 6L in many color options for 10c or less.

If your Assassin is poison BV (you should make your characters public), you can buy a 6L Dendrobate for 50c.

If you're playing Blade Blast, you could by a Carcass Jack for ~ 4 exalts, and a lot of other things for a lot less.
