Locus of Corruption, no changes with Skin of the Loyal Simple Robe

I recently got my first tier 3 Corruption Chamber for my Incursion temple and tried to double-corrupt my Skin of the Loyal body armour (item level 82), but it seemed to not change the item apart from now being corrupted (no white sockets, no corruption implicits, it didn't brick or poof). I thought that the "Sockets cannot be modified" mod on the item blocked the possibility of white sockets being added to the item so I didn't think it was a bug at first and did not take a screenshot in my Temple, but the wiki states the opposite and that
