Steam version region lock

Is there any particular reason why region lock still exists for CN KR ID VN PH TW HK for the Steam version?

I understand this was necessary because Garena had bought the right to publish on that region. But now since PoE Garena is dead and merged to the Global. What's the reason for the region lock for Steam version of Path of Exile?

This isn't the case with Epic Game Store PoE, they don't have region block for those countries for this game since the PoE Garena already died by the time PoE added to EGS. Did GGG staff forgot to flip the switch on Steamworks page perhaps?


I'd like the ability to use my money in Steam Wallet to purchase stuffs in PoE
