Maven's invitation : The Twisted ( Elder guardians )

Okay so wth is with this one? Ive got it dropped after beating the Purifier (she was in the fight), but didnt get any of these fancy blue things on map stating "Witnessed by The Maven" or anything, the map that I was running wasnt counted as being done (Atoll) which was expected, but theres no counter anywhere as to which guardian I killed already or anything. No indicator/counter of it on other Purifier influenced maps either... After this one I opened an Eradicator map and killed Eradicator, but still nothing. No count anywhere on the map nothing stated on the invitation itself nothing at all, which is very strange.
Now im gonna kill the other 2 guardians and see if I can open the invitation, currently I cannot. Ima edit this post when i kill the other 2 guardians to tell what happened.

Any1 got any info on this?

If you completed that Elder Guardian with Maven , you can't invite Maven to that boss again and the map device will warn you (i guess you can redo it after finish the invitation)

Doesn't warn sh*t, u really didnt get what im saying. This isnt the normal region invitation, see what the item ive linked shows.
So i just did the rest 2 guardians and i could activate the invitation from the map device, couldnt do it before i killed all 4. Funny thing is there was no counter anywhere as to which one i killed and which i didn't.

The maven has some unique conversation when dealing with the elder guardians.
So i can suggest that this is a bug and ill report it i guess, theres no way that theres 0 counter of which elder guardian u did and it just says it randomly like that.

There is a counter. The 5 endgame boss invitations of which the twisted are a part of, can all be found in the center of your atlas. If you hover over the symbol in the middle he will show all the encounters with the relevant bosses and the ones you have already gathered are marked. There you will also find the skill tree for the complete atlas that you can allocate with the points won from those encounters.

I cant see where is that? Im hovering the center. Ive killed the 4 guardians now but havent done the invitation (yes i can activate it now, u can see it in my inventory still).

Hm, on my Atlas there is a Maven symbol, similar to the one on maps which bosses you have captured, just a bit bigger, a little above the center where your awakener level is shown but it doesn't seem to be there on your atlas. However i am not 100% sure if it was there from the beginning or if it only showed up after i defeated my first encounter, in my case it was shaper guardians. Maybe try doing the encounter and see if it pops up afterwards.

The icon in the centre only shows up while you're working on an invitation that affecst shaper/elder/cortex/non atlas maps.

It's up to you to keep track of which guardians you have witnessed.

I have an invitation that is uncompletable because the hydra I fought was on someone else's mapdevice and it doesn't count for me, but I can't get a rubber stamp for fighting hydra on my own device anymore. Wondering if running a shaper set will clear it.

does it not update on the invitation itself? those look pretty highlighted in white. maybe they're grayed out when they're not completed?

No, the invitation does not update if you killed a guardian. You have to keep track of it yourself. It also does not state if those kills have to be in the same region or if just the bosskill itself counts.
Im not sure if a "completed" info would work, since you can trade those and it would have reset everytime a new account/character uses them.

As example i would not want to try eradicator as a melee, just because he sucks. So does it still count for the same invitation if i kill it with another character?

It's very unclear on how this thing works. Try and error would be the best option for it.


E: about the maven status in the middle of the map. I never saw something like that and i killed atleast 2 guardians with 2 invitations in my stash.

As it seems theres just no counter for it right now. Im pretty sure there should be a fix for that as having no counter for which are killed sucks. I guess we need to submit this as a bug.

This is a good idea to add a counter, just grey them out or something. But yea like the guy above me said i can also confirm it doesnt gray out or anything at the moment.

On this i know it doesnt have to be in the same region, as i killed all 4 guardians in different regions and the invitation worked after that.
