Mystery boxes duplicates improvement

sadly ya probably not gonna happen.. but it definitely should.. and i think it will infact increase GGG income and not reduce.. if done carefully and right.. my self im taking a step back from supporting GGG and MTX for alittle while as im disappointed with how they been doing recently in general .. and these loot boxes got me un motivated to support them due to how greedy the system feels.. they been talking for years about doing something about it... yet nothing was done.. and its not a very complicated thing to do.. i think they just dont really care..

IMO i wish it worked how the limited time MTX worked. Back in the day theyd just set a price and the rarity factor was the selling point.

They could do that with loot boxes as a collection and give no duplicates but have it actually limited time only so if you dont grab it while you can you miss out entirely.


For example my jack o lantern helmet mtx. No idea if thats come back or not but that was LTM wasnt supposed to come back again.

they should just allow salvage system ... destroy duplicated items get shards use shards to craft items from the loot boxes and make it so you cant craft boxes with the shards

They could always implement the easiest system.
You use 3 items from mystery box to trade them for 1 mystery box that give item you dont already posses. The average rarity of input items will decide the minimum rarity of the RNG item, so you put 3 uncommon inside, you get a uncommon or higher rarity from it.

thats cool idea too.. i think its just that they dont want to do anything about it.. and if im honest i think right now they lose more money from people who step away from supporting and buying boxes than they would "lose" by improving these boxes

They are just sleeping on marketing strategies, league of legends did something like that years ago and they still make millions

That salvage box was terrible. They cost the same as a mystery box, you had to give up 10 mystery boxes of items to get 1 back and guess what? Yeah, it's another duplicate.

awful idea .. the point is to make something useful out of these duplicate and alittle bit reduce the huge RNG in these boxes and still keep it RNG but more like "awful bad luck protection" ? on last boxes i made test to see how much cost me to get full mixed set and the cost was almost 6k points

they should make a more reasonable system or no one other than streamers gonna buy these boxes anymore

That last part just isn't true though, that's just your wishful thinking. The reason these boxes exist is their financial success and nothing else. That means a lot of people are buying these boxes, just perhaps not as many as 6k points worth per player. Maybe they do. Without insight in their actual sales numbers, it's all just speculation.
