My computer is loud as hell only in Path

I hate this is even an issue. I have a 2080 gpu, and a higher end computer in general. I've played for years. Now recently my fans somewhere are screaming, computer is extremely loud. GPU and CPU are both very low percentages of usage in poe yet the computer is going crazy. Fans constantly loud even clicked on my other screen, login for PoE is at only 75fps yet the fans are screaming.

hey, I had the exact same issue.

I took the fan off my GPU, and there was a faulty thermal pad on it.
POE causes higher temps, but it's not POE causing the issue.
It's the actual GPU thermal sensor not working correctly.

Once removed, I re-applied thermal paste, and fixed the out of line thermal pad, and everything has been perfect since then.
Temps staying much lower than before, and fans no longer going nuts.

There's also a bug with the fan controller on these 2080 cards. Once it reaches a certain temp, it will go bonkers. And the temp is only like 50*c.. the card can handle 80*c with no issues.

Sadly, I've been onto the manufacturer, and as usual, they're not willing to admit it, and not willing to RMA the card for me.

So I fixed it myself with the steps above.

Have a quick look at this image. It was one of the blue pads which was out of line to the rest, causing some one of the blocks below to be uncovered.
Thanks for the info I will look into it. In game I turned off global illumination and set a fps cap. That so far has mostly solved the issue, its not constant like it was before, more of a normal every once and a while thing at the moment.
