Newby questions on trading abbreviations

A couple of newby questions on trading and currency trading. Searched for answer and came up empty. When a seller is shown as AFK what does this mean. I assume it means away from computer but that would be AFC? Is there a way to indicate do not disturb while playing?

On the currency trading website a seller can be Online or online with a "api" marker. What does this mean?

afk -- away from keyboard

if you're in game and want to be 'do not disturbed', type /DND

this will block ALL messages though. and will immediately be cancelled when you open up a chat interface, even if you dont send anything.

Of course, it's obvious now. Thanks.
AFK is a widely known abbreviation that means Away From Keyboard. :)
If a player is afk, it means they haven't moved their character for 5 minutes or longer. You can also set it for yourself with an /afk command if you're going AFK, and it will happen automatically after 5 minutes. The status disappears when you start playing again.

I think this happens for /afk. With /dnd you get the system message that you can't send messages while in /dnd mode.

you can type "/dnd" in chat, wont be able to receive (or send) messages at all then though and you will be shown offline on the official tradesite. (type "/dnd" again to deactivate)

sounds like you use poe.trade or rather currency.poe.trade? dont do, officila tradesite is way better (there is a bulk-exchange subsite for currency etc as well).

To answer your question anyways: "api" marked stuff is based on life information from poe trade api that offers the info of all public stash tabs. the others are "virtual" shops you can set up on currency.poe.trade (if you dont have public stash tabs, you dont need to have the currency you alledgedly want to trade either...)

Yes currency.poe.trade. I will try the official bulk trade site in the future. By the way I found you can just type /help in the chat window for a complete list of commands.
