Thank you so much for the awesome guide! I'm still pretty early on, and I'm already having a ton of fun!

I really appreciate how flexible the guide is. Here are some interesting/useful tips I've found while levelling:
- I found an Ashcaller https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Ashcaller in a ritual, and it was a great levelling weapon. It has + to fire damage over time multiplier, as well as increased burning damage! Really nice.
- Again from a ritual, I found a helmet that has +1 to level of minion gems and an implicit that makes socketed gems apply fire, cold, and lightning exposure on hit. I put my golems in there to get a little extra damage from exposure while wave of conviction isn't going off.
- For now, since I'm still using the wand, I've got shield charge and a lightning damage ring to trigger EE, EO, and fortify. I've also added a lightning golem to my helmet as a 4th golem so I can zoom around a bit faster!
- I'm also using a diamond flask with resist bleeding right now, which helps proc EO a little more consistently.
Thanks mydan123!

I'm glad the guide suits you and that you're having so much fun :). I appreciate your note.

Goodness! Those are some perfect finds and changes! Good for you! That sounds like a ton of fun and well synergized. Good for you!

Thanks again for your encouragement.

Should I stack armor on this build? I see you have a mix between energy shield & armor equipment.

Thank you.

The build is using mix of red and blue gems on every piece, so the str/int hybrid gear is the natural choice for ease of socket colors. Energy shield is nearly useless to the build, so armor is definitely the better choice. The build isn't invested in a way that would make armor an excellent defense layer, but something is better than nothing there.
Hey Elenher!

Lemabelle answered well. The gear choices are just for easy colour socketing. Armour is only really valuable when it's invested in, and we don't incest in it. It's the same with Energy Shield...with on exception. This build does gain damage from ES (even though it's always burned away). The gear section of the guide says that ES can surprisingly increase our damage by a bit but it's not worth focusing on or investing in when gearing. It's just nice incidental damage increases.

Good question (Elenher) and answer (Lemabelle).

Having a lot of fun with this build as this is my first time playing PoE. I'm working on completing the atlas and finding that my single target damage in boss fights is absolutely nonexistent until I have vaal RF going, which isn't always possible.

Anyone else running into similar issues? Currently capping at ~2.5M DoT dps with vaal R, but that drops to like 400k on normal RF.

Im only level 90 so maybe I just need to grind out another 2-4 levels before continuing onto finishing the red conqs
Hello, i am new in POE and using your build. Its rly FUN and easy game play but i dont understand how can i use Vaal RF permanent...Can u explain me it please ? I can active Vaal RF just for a few secs

Thank you

Vaal Righteous Fire is a temporary boost usually used when a very large boost to damage is needed like when bossing or trying to clear a large pack of mobs.

You're triggering and sustaining Righteous Fire normally.

TonyyTony! This is your first time playing PoE? Your gear doesn't look like it at all. You look like you know what you're doing! ;). Good for you.

You have great gear that has some nice min/maxing added to it...and you've very nicely avoided the negative effects of EE as well. As long as you're not using Flash Dash too often (cause it Hits with Fire).

Obviously having a few extra levels helps but it shouldn't be necessary to complete the game. You have a better setup than I do for sure. RF, as all DOTs, is a little more dependant on gear than other skills. So, though your weapon is great, finding a weapon that has a higher amount of DOT multiplier would work nicely. There are also influenced items that really helps with damage as well (like nearby enemies having negative to fire resist).

I find, with RF especially, that map mods REALLY impact the boss battles. For example, if I give the Wasteland boss an increase to life, his innate life regen goes through the roof and makes the fight a pain. (Maybe I'll put that in the guide somewhere.)

Staves are also a great way to increase damage but at the cost of reduced survivability rolls on a shield.

Lastly, again at the cost of survivability, Respec'ing out of Bastion of Elements and selecting Heart of Destruction (ascendancy nodes) will be a huge improvement too.

Not all easy fixes but there are some options for you. I'm glad you're liking the guide though. Thanks for the kind words. I hope this helps a bit.

Hey FlatySvk!

Good answer by Jancela. Vaal RF is designed to never be permanently on. All Vaal skills are designed that way. They are all just intense temporary skills.

I'd say try to grind some level, if you aren't in SSF, get few cluster jewel.
Swap to dual wielding scepter for mor damage, and try to get a bit more life roll on your item.

Also stacking +1 level on RF gem from scepter is a big increases since the base damage modifier

Also the witchfire brew unique flask is definitly a big plus for RF

Hi guys! Quick q:
Combustion support linked with flame golem is a good idea? Will this work?

And a big one for veterans of SSF: whats the most deterministic way of going after crusader chest 85 ilvl? Smth like rolling strongboxes in t16s for + lvl on influenced maps?
