Can you still copy files from steam to standalone client?

I use mobile data so it is expensive to download 28gb again, is there any way to copy the steam files to the stand-alone client to save some of the large download bandwidth?

Old posts talk about copying a content.ggpk file between installations but I can not find that in my steam folder, has the system changed recently?

I tried just copying the folders and files over but the stand-alone installer didn't detect them and was downloading the whole content.ggpk file.

No.

Steam did not use ggpk

Standalone still use ggpk as first layer of zipping the file

Hi there, Broji33! Unfortunately, the file structure is different since the change to the underlying storage structure of the data files.

There is some information about this in the 3.11.2 Technical Patch Announcement
