Elementalist Armor Passive
While playing with a thunder caster I noticed that the entire time I used her she died constantly. Its never ending, and it was my first character.
How about instead of energy shield and health nodes this wizard tree gets some survivability. Recently the craft got an energy shield and class specialization, but how about element specific armor while they want to live and have mania, I've seen golems defend me out of their nature already. Armor rating could become dependent on mana, or give an hp boost in exchange for energy shield. Whatever it is, it needs done. Because I zap a million per second but get one punched by any random monster like you built a rag doll simulator. Between chaos golem giving you ~15% phys reduction with all relevant nodes, another +15% from basalt flask and 3000 armor from granite flask, you can easily get by with decent physical reduction. Keeping the flasks up might be annoying, but that's the price you pay for being able to zap from long range like that.

Any first character die all the time.
and generally, also the 2nd and 3rd, but a bit less each time. |

" I suggest that you go to Zizaran's POE university podcast series, and look at Nugi's episode: defense. |

I heard defense was supposed to be layered. Evasion, block, armor, shield.
And the video makes sense. Which way is best for the witch to go in varying defenses, towards strength or Dex? |

I completely agree with this post. Give casters armour to rival the melee STR builds for survivability.

" why? Witch is an intelligent base character. It is mostly built on es. Thats the reason of es nodes instead of armour. Trust your mind and strengthen your abilities!

its the layered defense i was questioning. I actually recently opted for rearranging my skills on the bar, dropping my armor low, raising my es shield higher, removing the weapon bonuses to attacks because i overkill, then i added a herald reserve reduction and added an arctic armor while i prioritize my moves on a DPS area or chain hit and primarily use a warp spell within combat so NO defense is required.
Is the standard going to get the Aegis update from Echo of Atlas? Still a ragdoll. But I'm moving me now. |

I also put life regen to es, grabbed a leech weapon, equipped vitality and discipline to repair my shield, diversified my golems for attack power.....
I need to lose my arcane cloak though, and idk what to do with it. Maybe replace it with steel skin? |
