6 Frenzy charge, 5 Power charge Voll's protector Split Arrow build (NO LAG)

So this build will use 6 frenzy charges from the passive tree, 5 power charges (1 from quest, 1 from passive). It is a very high dps build which is extremely fun and different from the boring LA ranger and variations of that.

Stats(Roughly depending on gear)
5k hp
30-35% crit chance
300 crit damage (multi target)
500 crit damage (single target)
0.2 APS (multi) 0.15 APS (frenzy)
7-8k armor
22k single target dps
9k split arrow dps


These stats are fully buffed.

Blood rage (the extra socket, i like to put it here will explain later)

The Chest 5L Voll's (must use voll's to get the power charges), you can use the new support gem coming out later that grants power charges on crit, but that will be a bit annoying since u have to either 6link your bow to add in that gem, or use frenzy to refresh the power charge everytime it is low.

Frenzy (can switch with elemental hit and put frenzy in another green slot just to get the charges if u do not have lioneyes like i do or a physical bow.)

So the way this build works, is i cast anger wrath and grace while using the blood magic helm (unique), i then cast vitality determination and purity on "harder" maps and on easy maps where i dont need as much resist i turn off purity and turn on hatred for more dps. The blood rage will be cast using mana, this makes it so i can spam split arrow and get frenzy charges on kill, and the voll's will give me a constant 5 power charges to compliement the high crit.

The damage of this build is very spikey so on reflect maps u will kill urself if u are not careful, this is why i use 3 different quivers for different map mods. On elemental reflect i use Broad stroke which is only useful if u have a physical bow although it doesnt do much for dps, i would recommend using any bow that does have elemental damage and just has high HP and more resist just incase there is elemental weakness as well on the map.

For physical reflect maps, i use a broad stroke, it is possible to kill urself with physical damage from a lioneyes, as a string of 3-4 crits in a row and enough mobs will destroy you, using broad stroke this will not happen.

Maps to avoid
Elemental reflect and -max resist, this is possible but very dangerous, this is pretty much the only map mod which is not recommeneded, depending on ur level of gear of course.

The Flasks
Use similar flasks that i have shown below and u should be fine.

This is a very fun and powerful build that i came up with myself, my single target DPS reaching 22k and my gear is not near perfect at all. I am also very tanky unlike many LA rangers.

also this build is better as a Shadow, where u get the 6 attack speed and 3 movment instead of the 8 att speed and 12 accuracy in ranger

Nice, but this build is so expensive, a 5L armor is hard enough to go by, and this requires a 5L unique armor =/

AT LAST an interesting bow build, im sick of those 98% LA archers :) I love Split Arrow and Shadow + Witch class, so this will be something i will roll, actually i started to roll a bow shadow yesterday, currently lvl 20ish, and looking at tree i dont need to change nothing i think :) I have 1 question - is 5L Volls absolutely needed for it? Will be hard to find one for a decent currency, would 4L be good? I think i have 1 in stash :) And if yes, then what support should i drop?

I must say this sounds very interesting. If you could upload maybe a recording of you killing stuff in a map (for example), it would be awesome. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread. Keep up the good work!

Looks fun, but it's not a pick up build very expensive it's more gear dependent than a norm phys build 3 uniques and they're all mandatory to make the build work.

i actually did this build starting out with a 4L voll's then moving on to 5 and then 6, using a 4L volls i used --> Frenzy/ele hit + weapon elemental + inc crit damage + blood magic

you could always get blood magic from the passive tree and then u could free up the blood magic gem, but then u cant run %auras, so your gear will have to make up for it, although the %auras help alot.

4L voll's are fairly cheap maybe 1-2 gcp, 5L volls is about 2-3 exalts and the 6 linked ones are super rare

the only unique required for this build is the Voll's, lioneyes and the quivers etc just compliement the build alot. An elemental bow will work just as good, but u will have to get some accuracy gear on the gloves or helm, the rest of the gear is fairly standard

Hey looks interesting,but i dont understand what you do with unique helm and the auras. Do you keep that mask on after casting auras and use your HP as mana? Because I try removing and auras are lost if I take helm off.

i put the helm on, then i cast anger wrath and grace with reduced mana gem in my gloves, that will use blood magic to reserve the mana, then i take off helm, put on my normal helm and cast the other 3 % auras
