Best SSF Witch build?

I am a die-hard SSF player. People's tastes vary and I have found that this fits my tastes best. My latest league was Harvest, which pleased me the most with at least giving a chance to someone like me to feel at least a little bit in control when it came to crafting. Finally took revenge on Sirus and saw Shaper/Elder for the first time.

I quit, with a bittersweet taste in my mouth when I finally got the 6L recipe from the Delve Primeval chamber to find out that it needed 1500 (!wrf/.omg) orbs of fusing, while I had a couple of hundred after two weeks of serious play at level 96 with a five-link. The prospect of SO much grind made me step back.

Now I am looking forward to play the new league again, hoping to make use of the somewhat more controlled gameplay in the new atlas. With that being said, I am asking for some tips here:

Among the Witch builds, which one do you think can do the most in SSF with reasonable time invested? By most I mean killing the toughest stuff even if it takes a few deaths.

So far my roadblocks have been:

1. Delve 200+ a particular fissure, forgot its name;
2. the "Uber Trio" in the Uber Atziri mnap (I had anti corrupted blood gem, the femur staff and lots of block chance, max rez). Started seeing my health bar go down fast with no apparrent reason, but it may have been minions blocking the view.
3. The Minotaur (too many deaths to call it a win)
4. Having the pump survive in T15+ Blight maps
5. Oshabi with a minion build
6. Revenge on Kosis
7. (added) I amost forgot. The frku876in Syndicate at T15+.
8. Clearing temple fast enough to make any room progress in incursion T15+

Is there anything, in SSF, for the Witch class that can get me further? I am posting here because the Class section deals with existing builds. What I reviewed there heavily relied on trading or offered less than what have already done.

I am sorry for not having a good character to show, but I have been experimenting recently and have messed by 96 Necro (switching to skeletons from spetres, still having the old chest).

Let's discuss

Minion builds in general can function with 0 uniques, though I'd stay away from Zombies. Enki's Arc build is also always built to accommodate SSF.
Well, I have been mostly a minion user. Golems are out of question unless I get lucky and drop several "never seen" gems. Spectres have been my favorite until you lose one in battle and it is GG from there because good luck resummoning them in the heat of battle. Also, one mishandling of the gem and desecrate "forgets" your spectres.

For active casting, I have been thinking about something that can benefor from two categories, such as "spell and projectile" or "spell and DoT." Will see.
I have a minion build guide that can work for SSF.

It does use one unique, Triad Mesh Gloves, but you can chance these on mesh gloves and get in a reasonable amount of time.
You can even chance/scour, as triad is only unique mesh gloves.

It uses NO cluster jewels, NO empower or enlighten.

It does not need special body armor, so tabula or corrupted 6l works fine.

It will have no problem with all content except deep delve.

The build guide is written for newbies, but will work fine for experts.

@OP, since you really like SSF, I would check out a few streamer vids on the topic. There are easier ways to get a 6L than farming fuses, for example.

Looking at your list of challenges, I would say a lot of it is about learning how to deal with those specific situations.

Odif's minion build is a solid option. I tried it recently and it definitely does what it's intended to; it's a strong build for anyone looking to get into red maps without a lot of currency or experience.

At some point, if you want to look at non-minion options in SSF, POE Ninja is a good resource. I'm sure there will be some changes in 3.13 with all the ascendancy and skill re-works.

Have fun.

Thanks! I don't have problem with getting to red maps with what I have been doing. I used Slave Drivers and Skellies in Blight and wandered if multiple groups of damage minions are redundant at the cost of missed opportunity for buffs. Never fully tested it though.

With this league it seems that there may be a little more SSF-friendly way of managing encounters. Hopefully this will allow me to try builds.

@GreyLensman: I agree that there are other ways of getting 6L, but if you need a specific chest of armor, like +1 to number of Spectres, you are quite limited when the Harvest craft never appears and the prophecy never shows up as well.

Usually I start league using Kay's spectre summoner guide, and "fly" through acts: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2181275/
(check leveling section)
I am a fan of Kay's. Since last year.
