Spectral Shield Throw(SST) single target nerf?
I just saw that:
(Rework) Ricochet: Projectiles now have a 30% chance to be able to chain when colliding with terrain (up for some pinball, anyone?). No longer deals 10% more damage for each remaining chain. This means that SST lost its only good and easy way to easily get single target DMG. The skill already struggles against bosses, so are the SST Deadeye builds not very viable against Bosses now? Is the "10% more damage for each remaining chain" added to the SST threshold gem? Maybe it is now a base stat of the skill gem itself? Yeah, because that 10% more dmg was the only thing that made SST viable. If you rly want to play SST, try other ascendencies, there are better choices even than current Deadeye.

You expect them to never make any changes in their games because "some build might feel hurt"?

I would expect them to make at least changes to keep old builds viable and add new ways to play at best simultaneously. I though that it is in the best interests of all party's to keep the game as diverse and content rich as possible. Or do you think that just rotating viable builds around is the best Alternative?

I've done Sirus 8 on my Gladiator who doesn't even have Riccochet and it works just fine, it's obviously not Archemage Bladevortex or BL Mines level of damage output but it's more than enough.
If you are worried about Deadeyes, you get a more multplier from farshot now if i remember correctly. You also get less damage taken from gale charges boosting your survivability. Honestly if want to look on how balance changes affect a given build, at least look at the whole picture and not on that one node in that one situation that might be worse now. |

" It still means that the Deadeye SST Build seems weaker because you lack the easy to reach single target dmg with this ascendancy. If a build is weak you wont have that much fun(if any at all). |

No it's not weaker overall, it got buffed through the roof. You just ignore the buffs and only focus on that one node that was nerfed in one specific situation.
Overall you will have easily as much damage as you had before, probably even more AND you will much safer then you used to be. Besides, if your goal was to kill bosses quickly then SST Deadeye was the wrong build to begin with. High single target damage was never that builds strong suit. |
