Some questions again
1.May I know what is the difference between block, evasion and dodge im really confuse about this 3 stats(i know these 3 are all by chance but im wondering what will gonna proc 1st)
2.Why some guides on this forums always show builds that has warcries on it but they dont use call to arms keystone passive?(the one that makes your warcries instant)i mean casting warcries is so annoying because of the animation 3.Why most builds here doesnt "follow"what their classes attribute really need in terms of base items for example if you are duelist you are evasion/armor type but they recommend a body armor with armor stats only or a templar(armor-energy shield)using witch(energy shield) items looks like a drag queen because witch sets are kinda "feminine" Sorry for grammar guys thanks in advance for the answer Last bumped on Jan 1, 2021, 7:44:09 AM

Block and dodge are chance based, evasion is entropy based.
We used warcries before those where a thing so its a skill point they don't wanna spend and usually its not integral to build, same is with Arcane Vision for LL builds, people just fined it annoying to spend point on. When you are not investing in defense or using low protection unique items then you wanna have some substantial boost for remaining slots, depending on build and play style. Of course they are recommendation not set in stone build enabling features. For example build having high intelligence will receive substantial ES% so using ES item is good option, Build having loot of strength can use items that grant bonuses like body armor with block per strength, resistance scaling based items, all in all there are many way to scale defenses and not just classical node on skill tree. Evasion, from what I understand, your luck with not getting hit, it diminishes as you get hit more and more. However, it does have a higher cap than Dodge, which caps out at 75%. Block is similar to Dodge, in that it doesn't have that "entropy" stuff going on. But with Block, you do actually get hit. You just don't take damage when hit. Hence Block is not that good with Wind Dancer keystone but many HC players are still allocating it anyway. Dodge and Evasion work well together, giving you even longer stretches of avoiding monsters. But investing a lot of points on Evasion is bad for build optimization. Block doesn't work well with Dodge because Acrobatics keystone penalizes your block chance. (There is a trick to skip Acrobatics and get Phase Acro only by using Thread of Hope.)
Call to Arms limits you to just one warcry at a time. So for builds that want to stack multiple warcries, they cannot allocate that keystone. If the body armour is a unique, it is probably recommended because it has certain build-enabling mods. Otherwise, the base type is recommended because it could be a spellcaster like Fireball Chieftain, which needs mostly blue sockets. Rolling more than 3 blue sockets on a strength-based chestpiece is very difficult. (You can roll 3 sockets into white by interacting with syndicates.) " As stated in Wikia: 1) Evasion is rolled first (if the Hit comes from an Attack. You can't "evade" spells 2) If Evasion fails, then Dodge/Spell Dodge is rolled 4) If Dodge/Spell Dodge fails, then you are HIT. This is also where the incoming damage is shifted to another kind of damage (for example Physical damage taken as Lightning) 5) Your chance to avoid damage is rolled. If it has success, the Hit's damage will be 0 (you are still hit) 6) If you don't avoid the damage, then Resistances will lower the incoming damage. 7) After 6 applies, your Increased/Reduced damage taken will further lower or raise this value (for example, Shocked) 8) After 7 applies, your More/Less damage taken will further lower or raise this value 9) After all of this, your Block/Spell Block is rolled. If Block/Spell Block rolls succesfully, the Hit's damage will be reduced to 0 (The attacker won't trigger any "on hit" effect, like Curse on Hit, but the blocker will activate their "when hit" effects) 10) Damage has FINALLY passed and will lower your life/mana/ES accordingly As for Evasion: Evasion is entropy-based. With an exaggerated simplification, this means that after an enemy hits you, the system will calculate an X value, and will apply the following rule, "every X hits, the following hit will surely hit you" (and bypass the 1) point above). This is why Evasion, coupled with Block and Dodge, is extremely good when going against attackers. A 75% Chance to Dodge attack character, Evasion-based, equipped with a Mistwall (you have 75% Block Chance if you haven't blocked recently - this bypasses Acrobatic's natural nerf on block) AND with a blinding aura (for example, Flesh and Stone) which further empowers Evasion can pretty much facetank Izaro's attacks - but not the Goddess' Mortar, alas. " Warcries have been heavily reworked in Harvest. Back then Call to Arms was a Notable rather than a Keystone, so many people who needed to warcry just Anointed it if needed, and there were significantly less Warcries back then. They also did not share the same cooldown. The Keystone served as a double nerf - you would have been no longer able to anoint it, thus barring it from being easily attainable from Shadows and Witches, AND put the "warcry cooldown is shared" as an extra nerf. Harvest's rework was about giving players many more Warcries to test with and give them a chance to use more than 1 warcry in their build - back then many people just used Enduring Cry in order to get free life regen (it did not need at least 1 enemy nearby to trigger that). " This is the first time I have seen "Energy Shield" armour labelled as "feminine". Or, pretty much, a gender identity given to a piece of equipment. Path of Exile seemed to be quite unisex in terms of equipment - and not necessarily by making all of the female characters flat as a brick (Scion has better... assets than Witch and Ranger) which would have given some trouble with Body Armours. "Templar looks like a drag queen" is a known meme in the game. Faith requires you to go pantless in a harsh and cold environment as Wraeclast. It has always been like it. (Also, please have some generic LGBT tolerance in game. Ranger is lesbian, at least one of your master is a lesbian at heart, and at least one of the not-so-main-but-still-relevant villain (or at least his servant) was gay. In a world where a woman made pools of blood and rape/torture exiles for science [TM], least of your problems is the sexual identity of the bunch of pixel that is going to oneshot you) |
