Endless Delve chest bug

After completing an area and unlocking chests, the chests do not unlock... cannot open.

it is tied to the instance you complete the encounter. You can't open the chest from new instance

" How certain are you that you completed the node? Did the regular loot drop in the center? There are a few nodes (like the bone rhoa node and the rogue exile nodes) where it is quite common for one of the enemies to run off far away down a hall, and then the node won't complete until you go find them. | |

It turns out it was a problem with the character... I was at a point that I couldn't click on even Azurite deposits to start the instance. I deleted and started a new character and the problem has not reoccured...
