Current state of Labyrinth and helm enchant in the game is broken

First of all, I want to emphasize that this post comes from a DEDICATED hardcore uber lab farmer, farming lab every hardcore league since lab exists, always netting at least 100 runs each league.

I LOVE the content and is the main reason I keep coming to the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That being said, I think current state of helm enchant economy is broken.
There are 512 lab enchants in the game, and good portion of them are dog shit - and when compared to number of people who are supplying the market, it makes the experience of theory crafting a build with enchant frustrating.

It takes 15-20 minutes to do a full key run in the challenge league, it's not easy and most of the enchants are shit, which means that everyone are going to want something like spellslinger enchant, or tornado shot projectiles.

Now separate problem is, good luck if you wanna make a build with specific enchant on a unique helmet.

Also, you are not really profiting if you roll tornado shot on a burgonet - because of course rangers and evasion chars want that on a lion pelt, so good luck selling that shit and getting spammed by lowballers "haha, it is not on an evasion base, I offer 10c".

As a lab farmer it's a feelsbadman when I choose burgonet, get tornado shot, and roll lion pelt and get +3 molten strike proj.

But, I hear you saying, once in a while, you do get that coveted tornado proj on a lion pelt and then you get rich?

Well, not really. Since that odds of it are so low, I have to put an insane price, and nooone has the money for it, at least 2-3 weeeks in the league, because enchant is the lowest priority on your gear, so even if I do get the money, it's going to be at the end of the league, late middle time at best.

And uber lab farming isn't that profitable for a couple of leagues now. I've barely had customers for carrying in heist league, enchants were selling for 20-30c average, and they destroyed the chests several times, gemcutters is ground to the earth and so on.

You can make a lot more money boss farming, doing Sirius, or high level mapping. THose guys are the billioners of POE

There are couple of player solutions to this, like making it an unveil option between three random enchants, which I really like, but also:

some enchants are really pointless and serve no purpose in this game. I understand that there is psychology behind it, that they are there to make the good ones actually good, but we are at the point that the market is so undersupplied, and supply so starved of lab farmers, that this needs revision.

I would also like to put forth an argument that since the lab, many skills were introduced, so it stands to reason that they COULD NOT have balanced the game around current number of enchant - current number is just broken.

As yet another post on this has been created, it is obvious that a large majority of the playerbase wants improvements on this current Lab Enchant system (especially for helms). It would be nice to have the option to keep the enchant you want that is currently on your helm, while also being offered a list of 3 enchants to choose from per attempt. The grind for that 1 enchant has taken me ALL LEAGUE LONG, and I am still plugging away at it with Twice Enchanted prophecy active on most of my runs. I've seen multiples of the same enchant numerous times, and yet to get the one enchant for my build seems like a wing and a prayer. The grind towards it gets so debilitatingly boring that I end up feeling burnt out, so I take a short break and do something else for a time, then come back to this same crappy system of bloated RNG mod pool slot machine.

Come on GGG, you know it is time to address this. Please for the love of God, do something to make it better.

What do you mean, broken? Standard PoE design, isn't it.
so same crafting system as D3 is what you want ?
The whole classic lab reward got slowly destroyed last years, maybe because some specialized builds (pathfinders) were abusing it.

The level 83 lab with 6 enchants attempts could satisfy you.

Unfortunately not everyone has 45-50c+ per Gift of the Goddess. Accessability to this particular item would have to also improve to make this worthwhile. Besides, 2-3 runs of regular offerings at 1c each + 5-6c for Twice Enchanted prophecy basically fulfills the same thing at a fraction of that cost, especially on a day with an easier/faster Lab Layout (8 rooms, 4 DS all on main path, with 1 room shorter in section 3).

There is also another flaw in the argument - the reason I am not running them is not that I don't have the money, it's that it is not worth the cost!

Price is set on the assumption that each enchant try is worth 3-4c, which I am disputing.
just got 40% BV Spell dmg enchant after about 8 runs today, and collecting 4,039 Total Rogue markers. It's the 2nd best BV enchant, so will just use this one for now until I can land duration eventually. Need a damn break though after all league long looking for a useful enchant for my build other than 30% increased Despair Curse effect.

RNG followed by further layers of RNG on top of RNG

thats their entire loot model


Also I mostly agree with OP. Took me an entire league to get +puncture dmg on my helm for my bleed bow character.
