I've done a few Infused Beachead rotations at lvl 98, was getting ~2% of lvl per run, but they were very slow... even if our party was really efficient, still took over 5 minutes per map. Doing solo heists was just as efficient.

The problems with beachheads are:

a) they are not linear: you start at 0 degrees on a donut that has an outer rim, an inner rim, and its endpoint is at -60 degrees

b) Harbies have a fixed delay to spawning adds. It takes just as long to clear one harby, with all his summons, whether you have 5m DPS or 500m DPS. The more harbies you have per map, the more arbitrary delay this introduces, such that infused BH may work out to have a LOWER xp/h for you than normal BH.

BH can work well if

a) more than one party member has a high DPS build that can mow down harby adds instantly so you can divide and conquer along a large sector of the donut

b) These same subcontractors are also trustworthy and will hand over any annul, ancient, and ex shards they get

As soon as you get to the boss room, you have a fixed duration fight. No matter how high your dps the harbies rolling out the gangplank will still take X seconds before they spawn another circle of adds. Nothing you can do will speed this up or let you skip or "phase" the blue alien bastids.

Because of this, BH are ideal for leveling only if you meet the conditions above: high dps, full team, more than one person on the team can process harbies efficiently in parallel.

It's a useful exercise to work out the xp cost-effectiveness of variant maps like infused BH though, because then the unique problems and benefits of the harby adds and minions style of spawning become a much larger factor.

Thanks for tips! I think splitting the group in 2, some go left the others go right, and meet in the middle for boss, would make the rotation more efficient.

Regarding loot, I don't see why anyone would hand over anything if it's a rotation. Everyone contributes with the same number of maps, if it's PA, loot will be distributed only to players in range of the kill, so it should not be an issue.

Yea everybody knew normal beachheads were a fast and profitable way to gain xp.

What about
tho?

I'm pretty sure infused beachheads are worse than regular ones. I joined a couple of these parties just to see what it's like. Somebody dies in every map.
i leveled to 97 this league but gave up after...its just so damn boring doing these rotas whether its beachhead or pure chayula etc...i dont know how people manage to lvl to 100 so many times.
This is a nice analysis.

Thank you for modeling an ethical way to host. I used to say "my loot your xp" but only picked up ancient/exalt/maps. Now I'm clear when I post to global, and I have a custom filter that doesn't show anything I don't want.

There might be more efficient approaches during Heist league, but beachheads are quite relaxing and safe. I like piano jazz or downtempo electronica in the background while I'm running them.

I'm new to POE since Delirium, and very new to deep endgame, so it was fun to see the crazy builds some people can run.

"my loot your exp" is better tho and fills just as fast. Haters gonna hate, XP leech groups would still exists, it 100% follows rules and up to the host. The loot is just price for being carried by fast carry.

It's fine when there is an aura stacker or BV with explosions and HH in the group.
Otherwise it's clown fiesta.

I have absolutely no respect for any player who spams in global 820 "My loot your exp" for beachhead runs. Peoples time is valuable along with the progression of ones own character take both time and currency to do so. Spending time in your map generating you income for an experience and loot bonus is complete garbage. I feel that you have no respect for yourself or any of the people helping you. You are not helping them only here, this is not for their benefit now is it? You are greedy and need to get a grip on yourself. They can do this on there own just fine without you in the equation so please do not think you are special by any means or regard.

I disagree here, I think there is a place for these runs in the game. Some builds are just really lackluster until 85+, hopping in a few carries like this can juice a fresh level 70 up to a functional build in a short time. Getting a jump on your gem levels before you start to build your atlas can be really nice.

I think your post is great, very well structured, thanks.

Good rundown allthough I completely disagree with the negative said about people running xp only beachhead hosts. People are veeeeery interested in free xp. Their builds might not handle red maps or heists until they get the gems leveled or enough skillpoints and they don't want to go through the hassle of running a temporary build then respec.

When feeling lazy I have indeed joined such groups myself just to speedrun an alt up to the poiint where it feels good mapping with it myself.

Loot is often irrelevant at that point and it is a completely optional thing to participate in. I fail to see how it is greedy whatsoever.
