cluster jewel, which are valuable?

Is there a way to know which cluster are valuable? which size, how many nodes, which skills, etc.
or do I have to check which build are in demands and prices on poetrade?

Stuff like these:

As a general rule every large cluster jewel with 8 passives has some value.

Other value factors:

*What skill related stats the jewels has - this is related to what skills are most popular in the moment - for example increased aura effect jewels.

*what item level they have - this relates to how easy the jewels are to craft and what mods they are able to have

*what notables the jewels have - these has different tiers of rarity, thus the rare, and often good, notables has more value

A good way to get an idea of what cluster jewels and notables are of value is to study the level 100 builds for the most used skills on

As an example lets pick the most used skill in Heist according to poe.ninja:

Summon Carrion Golems

Now lets filter so that we only see the players with Awakened Multistrike (a very expensive and rare gem) linked to Summon Carrion Golem.

THen look at 4-5 of the level 100 players and what cluster jewels they use and what notables they have.

The ones wearing Brass DOme use large cluster jewels with inc. minion dmg and 8 passive points. Notables they have are:

Primordial Bond
Rotten Claws
Renewal

They also use Medium clusters with 4-5 passive points and incr. minion life
Notables they have are:

Dread March
Renewal

another way to know is to throw jewels into a 20c dump tab, the ones that get multiple instant whispers has value worth investigating further...

You can toss out all large cluster jewels that don't have 8 passives.

Toss out medium cluster jewels if they have 6 passives, the only exception is the aura effect one, which is very valuable as a 6 passive.

The small ones are much harder to value because the base jewel itself is kind of worthless because it's so common but if it has the right notable it can instantly jump up in price. Eg. life node small cluster jewel with fettle is worth an ex at least but without that notable it's pretty much vendor trash.

Yes, reading forum posts, searching internet, looking at reddit, and spending time googling it up -as with everything else in the game.

The 'hardcore' aspect of PoE means you need a third-part client just to make a build or to check your DPS.

that's usefull too, ty. I already came to the conclusion on big and small, but was still searching for medium cause of the aura effect one
