Unaffected by Vulnerability while affected by Determination

Hi, so I just took a look at divergent determination :
You and nearby Allies gain 0.5% of Evasion Rating as Extra Armour I am not sure how that is supposed to remove vulnerability from you, maybe you didn't provide enough informations on your build? |

If you are arguing whether GGG should have used "Immune" or "XXX has no effect on you" rather than the official "Unaffected" in order to note the game mechanic in which an enemy or a player is considered to have a debuff or buff on it but not receiving any bonus or malus from it, then we have room for arguing.
If you are arguing that being "immune to XXX" means you should not see even the icon of that curse/buff/debuff on you, then you are wrong. You are thinking about "Cannot be XXX|Cannot be cursed with XXX|XXX cannot be inflicted on you" which, although it does not technically negate the effect of that buff/debuff/curse on you, makes you unable for it to be applied to begin with. A player has tested out that a 100% Avoidance of a certain debuff is equal to having "cannot be" for that debuff. The test was done for Blind and it was shown that having 100% Chance to avoid Blind was equal to equipping a Hinekora's Sight (which gives you "cannot be blinded" buff). While technically this would suggest that having "100% Reduced effect of XXX on you" is equal to "immune to XXX", it needs to be weighted with other effects that increase the effect (for example, having 100% Reduced effect of Shock on you will make you immune to shock as long an enemy does not have an effect that increases its Shock's effect) If you are, instead, arguing that even under Immunity from Vulnerability you have "felt" the effect of that curse (for example, you have been inflicted Bleeding in a random map from an enemy who should naturally not be capable to do so, or you received reflected physical damage while not being shocked and with a "100% Reduced reflect physical damage taken" mod) then it is a bug and you have all the rights to address it as such. Be wary, though, that if this is the case then it is not clear from your OP. |
