Unaffected by Vulnerability while affected by Determination

I have divergent determination gem socketed, and active, and when I come out of Zana portals inside a map I get the VULNERABILITY flag on my character which conceptually doesn't seem like it shouldn't happen, given the item's description.

unaffected is not immune

the debuff icon will be there but it is doing nothing

not a bug

Give it a try if you have a moment, random player commenter.

I would expect to see vulnerability on my character, all unaffected means is essentially 100% less effect of <debuff/curse name here>, you are still cursed with it and will see the debuff icon but you are not receiving the negative effects of it.

He’s not being toxic. He’s giving you the Mechanic as GGG has explained several times. Unaffected means it doesn’t affect you. Not that it doesn’t put the buff/debuff on you. They added the mod so that people could make builds using items where they want to have a debuff but don’t want it actually devuffing them. Like Atziri’s Reflection shield used with Soul Mantle chest that puts curses on you.

No, both of you are being toxic by offering nothing other than easily known information to someone not looking for it. I don't know why you think it's impossible to suggest a scenario where a newly introduced gem is behaving oddly in an edge case.

you are simply misunderstanding a game mechanic or you are not giving enough information about your bug, try getting a short video of the issue and upload to youtube for clarity on the issue the next time you encounter it.


it is unlikely for GGG to actually to respond to most threads(especially when a large amount of them are people who misunderstand mechanics or can't read items which is where us more experienced players step in)
