PoE 1 PC servers are restarting in: .
They should be back up in approximately .Tough question about Combustion
(Another thread on this but not really answering my question)
https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2809147 Hi! (Sorry not native) "Enemies Ignited by Supported Skills have -(10-19)% to Fire Resistance" 1) Secondary skill hit with combustion and succeed ignite, 2) Main skill hit and ignite, the first ignite is lost, replaced by this one way higher. The character is focused on burning damage from main skill, but i don't want to use combustion in the main skill 6L. Can i keep the resist debuff during the higher ignite? This support's description needs a little more words imo! Thanks! Last bumped on Nov 18, 2020, 1:12:14 AM

Combustion's res reduction gets triggered strictly by supported skill and is inherent to its hits.
As long as it doesn't have duration tag of a kind (like recently), I guess it won't work the way you wish. This is a buff © 2016 The Experts ™ 2017 Last edited by torturo#7228 on Nov 17, 2020, 4:12:25 PM

Found this answer in r/ but it isn't very definite too...
https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExileBuilds/comments/jihvse/ignite_build_using_combustion_support_not_in_main/ I have such combination in my current build as well... But I feel huge difference in my DPS when I place my totems (which are supported by Combustion). |

Multiple ignites can be on a target, but only the strongest does damage.
In your original scenario, 1st ignite applies the -% fire resist via combustion, second ignite comes in. The first ignite is still there, it is just doing no damage, while the second stronger ignite is active. So, you would still get the -% fire resist. |
