Vendor 1 Exalt for 20 Shards
Hey.
TLDR: Make a single Exalted Orb vendor for a full stack of 20 Exalted shards. Many items up for trade are listed in fractions of Exalted orbs. Properly paying this price usually involves looking up the ratio for Chaos per Exalt, then calculating the fraction and adding that many Chaos orbs. Or sometimes realizing you happen to have enough Exalted shards saved up to use those for the fraction. This is fairly tedious, and can lead to calculation errors and misunderstandings, especially considering wildly fluctuating Exalt prices this season. Implementing this suggestion would mean, you always have Exalted shards available. You can always pay commonly used fractions using the "real" value, not some replacement currency that happens to be worth a similar amount at this exact time. Feel free to do it for Chaos as well, but Exalted would be more important, in my opinion. I am sure, this has been suggested before, but I didn't find anything on a quick search. What do you think? Hopefully this will be implemented soon. |

I would like this too to be implemented, but unfortunately this means they have to
(there is nothing to fix. It works as intended) By default, when you vendor items in order to generate enough currency shard to form a full currency, you will receive a full currency instead than a full stack of currency shard. Furthermore, if the sum of the currency shard you receive from a trade and the currency shard you already have in your inventory, the two will combine in order to form a whole Currency. This is why vendoring 5 white items will yield 1 Scroll of Wisdom, rather than 5 Wisdom Scrap. Also, unless Affinity made it so that a trade result will end into a stash, having a Currency Tab will not bypass this problem. I can envision some solutions for this, but none of them seem reasonable enough. |

" That's a good counter argument I hadn't considered. One easy solution to this would obviously be to implement an exception just for this specific trade, and possibly make the trade not function if you vendor anything alongside the single Exalt to prevent any kind of unintended interference. However, that might add other issues. Not as simple of a suggestion as I'd hoped. Hopefully the value in adding this outweights the effort. |

" Here are some possibilities I was considering: > Make vendoring return 19 shards + 1 shard of the same type - Example: 1 Ex = 19exShard + 1exShard). - REJECTED: Shards combines in vendor, shards combines in equipment > Raise cap on splinters. Allow a non-premium function that makes you turn a number of splinters into another currency - Example: Raise Exalted Shard stacks to 100. Right-clicking a stacks of Exalted Shard will try to remove 20 Shards from the stack in order to create an Exalted Shard, much akin right-clicking a Stacked Deck gives you a random reverse-seed Divination Card (the rarest are the most probable) - TENTATIVELY REJECTED: goes against a premium function (Stash Tab), premium function itself gives a maximum cap of 5000 (don't know if combined or just for a specific currency stack), can give a chance for non-paying players to increase the potential revenue of each single inventory space (when you only have 4 tabs, every inch counts) > Shift-clicking a stack made only of 1 Currency allows you to choose between 1 and 19. When you confirm it, the original currency is destroyed. You will have X Currency Shard in your cursor, and the space previously occupied from the currency will be occupied by 20-X Currency Shard (N is the number you've chosen). 19 is reduced to 4 (and "20-X" with "5-X") in case of Scrolls of Wisdom - Example: Shift click a stack of 5 Exalted allows you to choose between 1 and 5. You choose 1: you have a stack of 4 Exalted and 1 Exalted in your cursor. You drop your Exalted in a free space and Shift-click it. You can choose between 1 and 19. You choose 15: the Exalted orb is replaced by 5 Exalted Shards, and you have 15 Exalted Shards on your cursor - TENTATIVELY REJECTED: New functionality to implement from scratch, changes a very basic function which is Stack-splitting, players are already pissed off about un-stacking Resonators for stocking Fossils inside of it and they would not accept kindly to do this with a tradable currency. Also, opens a chance to create shards for EVERY currency ingame = more time to create those stacks AND revamp of Currency Tab in order to accomodate them - which may not be possible OR opens a chance for a Currency Shard Tab (the horror!) Make Mirror of Calandra can be broken to 20 mirror shards with 20 orbs of binding.
Pls? Especially when Mirror cost more exalts than inventory can fit. I would even kill Sirus for it. But only once. TY Last edited by DarkJen#6961 on Nov 13, 2020, 7:53:26 PM

Would be nice to get a vendor recipe for Rock Hammer and currency of your choosing which would get you the shards.
I see the Rock Hammer market opportunity! :) I represent only myself, my own thought and believes. I am individual, not a representative of the community.
