Get your Reddit moderators under control!

I'm not going to argue that the subreddit for this game isn't an open sewer run by hypocrites, try to defend the rampant double standards on full display, or deny that it's an echo chamber filled with the absolute worst of the community.

I just don't understand what any of this has to do with GGG? It's not their website, and the mods aren't their employees.

In any case, good riddance OP. You're better than the subreddit deserves anyway.

I don't know how Reddit works but I assumed that GGG has authority over it because it's the "official" PoE subreddit. So my mistake.

When I was making shitposts, everyone was fine with it. Hell, memes made it to the main page with over 1k ups.
When I made something meaningful and posted for everyone or anyone interested, people acted like I kicked their Labrador in the nuts over the bridge. Post got blatantly removed without warning with nonsense explanation.


I had a "discussion" with some mod. Won't participate there in any way in future.

Abandoning reddit is a bad strategy as GGG isn't sharing much information elsewhere, which is truly a shame. Hell they are unable to even post the explanations of their news posts that need further clarification as amendment of the original news. Having their devs to just post page long explanation on reddit and nowhere else ...

That subreddit is a mutually beneficial relationship. GGG does not have to pay them and the mods can be assholes.

That's been my Reddit experience too: Attempts at serious discussion get downvoted to hidden while memes and trolling get upvoted.

Regarding the RMT ads, I've been reporting them as inappropriate every time I see them and haven't seen any for the last week or so. idk if the reports are actually taking effect or if the ads have just expired.

the community in this game (or any game before some rabbid Tggg zealot comes at me) in general is just not great reddit just makes it worse by having a hivemind system.

thing is, if reddit ahuts down, several years of explanations of game mechanics and other statements go down the drain too.

yes, there are copies on gggtracker.com but the answers there are missing the context because ggg devs decided to not quote anymore.

well this and other problems occuring like ggg has no place to make their patheto statements are just symptoms of another problem

GGG completely got used to rely on third party stuff
be it the skill tree planner, reddit although they have this forum here, several sides so you can actually plan old stuff from leagues ago, cheat-sheets ect you name it


If this game was an offline game it couldnt stand on its own legs.

I post if I or my work is brought up (and I notice it -- I likely miss the occasional untagged mention; redditors like to gossip about me, not talk to me). That aside, the PoE subreddit is as inscrutable to me as TikTok is to a boomer. I applaud your decision to longer participate there. It is a waste of time. So is this, but at least here you are subject only to the vague whims of professional moderation, not the fickle hivemind and its...oh, the irony...volunteer moderators.

I mean, I would applaud you uninstalling the game altogether even more, but I am not a greedy man.
