Anyhow, just as a sidenote: Path of Exile has once in the history of the game had a month with more than 50k average users (Steam). The last 30 days, we're looking at 53k. While we're overlapping months here, and have to take Steam numbers with half a grain of salt, it's still an indication that this "no one is (still) playing Heist" meme to be factually wrong.

People are throwing out "LOL's", "ROFL's" and "LMAO's" left and right in 'serious' discussions these days. You never know. Every time I look in the mirror, I still see a man a little bit too old to use them.

Actually while the raw numbers look fine the percent retention is not. Heist after one month has done almost as poorly as harvest and harvest was the worst recorded percent retention ever. It's a shame because I kind of like the league but it goes to show what poor quality can do to people's opinions of a league. It also shows just how bad harvest was seeing as how that league didn't even have that many bugs to begin with.

Yeah, we can break it down as much as we like, but Harvest didn't do "that bad" either, if we look at the grand scheme of things. We've seen better, we've seen worse.

Numbers will always fluctuate when they try different mechanics. I still believe that trying different league mechanics is better for the game in the long run, than sticking to one recipe over time. Sure, they could probably develop a better routine when it comes to what's going core and what's not, but...

This really didn't need another thread, especially not in Generic Disruption.

I'd be hesitant to try and identify any necessary threads in GD.
